Hiruzen nodded, "Looks like Danzo's started preparing for war. We'll let him do his thing, so from now tell the other jonin to not accept goods transportation or escort missions to the hidden rain village.
But that aside, what's your evaluation of Kira? Isn't he exceptionally talented?"
"That he is. From what I've seen, his chakra reserves seem to be around half of mine. He's good at medical ninjutsu and it looks like he's mastered your shuriken shadow clone technique.
I haven't been able to properly gauge his ninjutsu proficiency, but I have a feeling that he knows quite a lot of jutsus. His taijutsu is lacking compared to the other two, but it looks like he's learned a hidden technique that improves his physical strength and speed. I haven't seen him use it in battle yet, so I also can't quantify it's actual effects."
Hiruzen took a puff of smoke from his pipe before nodding, "So, now that you have a full team, do you think you can take on the mission?"
Raichi's body stiffened when he heard the question. He thought about it for a few seconds before letting out a sigh, "Yes, but it depends on Taka. He doesn't know how to use his kekkei genkai and even I've been unable to find anyone linked to him since he doesn't have the memories of anyone but his parents."
"That really is a problem." Hiruzen said as he tried to think of a solution, "Why don't you try and help him practice? I'll send you some of the people whom I trust so that Taka can use his kekkei genkai on them."
"Thank you, lord Hokage. I'll take my leave then."
Saying that, he took a few steps back and turned around before walking out, only to see Danzo standing near the entrance.
'Looks like he's been waiting all this time.' he thought as he simply headed back home while Danzo entered the Hokage's office.
*******
Back in Aburame estate, Kira stared at his reflection in the mirror with a frustrated expression on his face.
"It really is hard to live in the Naruto world as someone who's originally from a peaceful place like earth." he said to himself as he turned his head to the right to look out the window.
In the past two weeks, he had fought with really good taijutsu users and it was only after he finished his mission and had the time to think, was he able to realise the problems that he had.
He was too afraid to experience pain and due to this, he was unable to fight in close quarters efficiently like most other taijutsu users. Especially when it came to using his body to attack, like punching and kicking.
There were no problems when he used weapons like kunai or swords.
His shadow clones sparred outside, but just by looking at them, he knew that they were holding back their punches a lot.
'If the punches are unable to destroy a clone, then they're not punches at all. Tch, I've literally wasted an entire year doing this crap. I'll have to fix my mentality before I get into training like this.'
He wasn't on earth anymore, but even though he was living as a ninja, his mentality was still that of a programmer who goes to a university on a planet where peace prevailed.
He dispelled his shadow clones and created two clones right after.
"You, stand in place and you, punch him as hard as you can."
"Okay" they replied at the same time and a second later, one of them threw a punch.
Nothing much happened. The clone that got hit, did not burst into a puff of smoke, making Kira feel depressed. Even his clones had the same expression on their faces as they too understood what the true problem was.
Kira too, punched his clone and like he had expected, his clone didn't disappear.
Frowning, he took out a kunai and used it to make a cut on his palm. It did hurt, but Kira silently stared at the wound, not understanding why he could cut his own palm while he unable to use his full power to punch people.
"Fuck it." he cursed as he dispelled his clones and walked out of the house.
And the direction where he was headed? It was Duy and Guy's house as they were the only ones whom Kira knew, would train so hard that their hands broke down.
'As long as I get used to the pain, I'll be able to punch myself and say that it hurts.' he thought as he ran.
Soon, he stood in front of their house but he didn't have to knock on their door as the door was already open. Their house was a small hut made of mud, stones and sticks.
As a genin, Duy made very little money. It wasn't actually little, but since he had to supplement his body with good food due to the intense training he did everyday, their family barely had any savings.
Once they saw Kira, they asked him to come inside, but when he did, he began to tell them about his troubles.
Duy nodded his head until Kira was finished and refuse to help him, but also gave him a temporary solution.
"Kira, the only thing I know is how to train. I don't know if I can help you with your problem. All of my techniques and even the way I fight is all from trial and error. I'm not a genius and nor do I know about the problems you're facing.
Though, you should be able to turn off your mental limiters by opening the first gate. But, this is not a permanent solution and the first gate is physically taxing.
Why don't you ask your sensei for a better solution instead? I'm sure that he'll have some solution to your problems. After all, he's the Hokage."
