Chapter 6 - Chapter Five

"I'm not interested," Alex declined.

"Good. I'll find you soon." The man said as he walked away.

"Congratulations, Alex. You have successfully completed the confidence-regaining task. Your self-confidence level has significantly improved."

Alex felt a surge of pride.

"Your next reward is now ready," the system continued. "You will have access to a huge sum of money. This sum is uncountable, connected to all banks worldwide. You will be able to draw on this resource."

Alex's heart raced with anticipation.

"To access these funds, you must use the code appearing on your screen. This code will grant you immediate access to your accounts and resources."

Alex stopped in his tracks, absorbing the magnitude of what the system had just revealed. A limitless amount of money, accessible at any time, from anywhere.

Alex nodded, a sense of purpose and determination filling him. He still found it very difficult to believe.

Despite the system's promises, Alex still had doubts. He thought to himself, "Is this really real? Is the system truly capable of generating wealth?"

He decided to test it out. He walked to the nearest ATM and withdrew $200. The machine dispensed the cash without hesitation.

His mouth was left open in surprise. He slowly turned his head opposite the ATM, his gaze stopped at a phone store. He had lost his during the fight.

The door chimed softly as he walked into the phone store, a cool wave of air brushing against his face.

The shelves were lined with the latest gadgets. The faint buzz of conversations mingled with the scent of fresh electronics, making him feel excited and curious as he walked deeper into the store.

"We don't need a cleaner here," one of the staff said dismissively to Alex, his eyes scanning over his cheap outfit.

Alex remained composed, though inwardly he was still reeling from the shock of withdrawing money so effortlessly from the ATM.

The system had delivered on its promise, and now he felt an overflow of confidence knowing he could afford anything he desired. Ignoring the staff member's comment, he focused on his next goal, which was to get the latest phone.

"I need the latest phone," Alex stated firmly. His eyes strayed to the sleek display of the smartphones.

One of the staff, a smartly dressed woman with a condescending smile, leaned forward. "Sorry, this store is for high-end phones for worthy customers. We don't have phones that suit…."

"Money is not an issue. Get me your most expensive phone." Alex declared.

The staff member hesitated, clearly taken aback by Alex's request.

Alex nodded. "I want the best one you have."

The staff exchanged unbelieving glances. They were used to dealing with wealthy customers who could afford to buy several phones without blinking an eye. To them, Alex seemed out of place.

"Sir, we really can't help you here," another staff member chimed in, trying to be polite but clearly wanting to usher Alex out of the store.

"Get me your most expensive phone," Alex repeated.

The staff member glanced at the price tag, and then back at Alex. "Certainly," she responded, moving swiftly to get the most expensive phone.

Shortly after, the staff came back holding the phone, and gave it to Alex while grinning politely. "This is for you, sir," she said, passing the sleek gadget across.

Alex accepted it with a sense of satisfaction. He activated the phone, setting it up with ease.

"You haven't paid sir. You are not allowed to operate the phone." One of the staff said.

"Thanks," Alex said as he opened his phone and quickly opened the bank app. His eyes lit up when he saw '+++', indicating that his account balance was unlimited.

"I'll transfer." He stated.

"It's $1,00,000, sir." The attendant said.

"I'm multiplying it."

The phone store employees stared in silence as Alex confidently punched a series of numbers into his new phone.

"What's going on?" one of the employees murmured to another, their eyes widening in surprise.

"I don't know," was the whispered response. "But he's either crazy or… something else entirely."

Then, a soft ping broke the silence—a notification on the store's computer system indicating a transfer of funds.

The staff, now murmuring among themselves in hushed tones, couldn't hide their curiosity and awe.

"He actually did it," one of them muttered in amazement.

"I've never seen anything like this," another said, shaking their head in surprise.

Meanwhile, Alex stayed concentrated. He understood that this was more than just getting a phone; it was about proving a point. It was about recovering his dignity and showing that he was capable of far more than anyone had previously given him credit for.

The manager, who had been observing the situation closely, approached Alex with curiosity and respect. "Sir," he began, his voice laced with newfound deference, "may I assist you with anything else?"

Alex, maintaining his composure, nodded calmly. "I'd like to make sure the transaction went through smoothly," he replied, his tone firm and confident.

The manager nodded, gesturing for one of the staff members to confirm the transaction details. As they verified the funds had indeed been transferred and doubled, a sense of amazement settled over the store. Alex had not only purchased the latest phone but had also sent a huge amount no one had sent in the store which of course demanded respect.

"I apologize for any earlier inconvenience, sir," the manager said. "We're here to assist you with anything you need."

Alex felt a sense of wonder and gratitude as he left the store. The system was real, and it was changing his life in ways he never thought possible.

"Yasss! This is it! Finally!" Alex screamed!

"I earned it! The respect I've always wanted. Who says money can't buy respect? Tell him he doesn't have enough money."

He was ready to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead. The system had proven its worth, and he was eager to see what else it had in store for him.

"Congratulations, Alex," the system's voice chimed in, sounding almost pleased. "You have successfully completed your financial independence task. Your next reward is now ready."

"What's next?" he asked, his voice steady.

"You have been awarded ownership of a prestigious corporation. This corporation is highly profitable and strategically located in the industry."
