He commanded, his voice firm. "Let them go."
The guards hesitated for a moment, their expressions uncertain, but a sharp glare from the elder Robinson was enough to send them scattering.
Mike wasted no time, turning on his heel and sprinting towards the waiting car, where Kiara sat, her expression a mix of relief and concern.
As he slid into the driver's seat, Kiara reached out, her hand grasping his. "Mike, what happened? Are you okay?"
Mike let out a shaky breath, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. "I'm fine, Kiara. But we need to get out of here, now."
Kiara's brow furrowed with worry, but she nodded, her expression resolute. "Okay, Mike. I trust you."
With that, Mike fired up the engine and peeled out of the facility, his mind racing with a thousand thoughts. He knew that the Robinsons were far from out of the woods, that the danger they faced was only just beginning.
