But it wasn't the injuries that made Yeongsoo's breath hitch—it was the hollow, dark look in Haeun's eyes as he sat there, staring at nothing.
As he approached, his footsteps faltered, a growing fear gnawing at him. Haeun finally lifted his gaze, eyes dull, and looked at him with an expression Yeongsoo had never seen before—cold, distant, and laced with anger. Yeongsoo's voice shook as he came closer, trying to reach him. "Haeun, are… are you okay? What happened? I've been looking everywhere for you."
