Yeongsoo's grip tightened around Haeun's waist, their breaths heavy and intertwined. Every instinct in Yeongsoo screamed to protect, to claim, but he forced himself to move carefully, even now. Haeun's heat was clouding his judgment, but underneath the haze, he saw something real—something neither of them had expected.
Haeun pressed closer, his lips trembling as he whispered, "I can't… it's too much…"
Yeongsoo's pheromones surrounded him like a warm cocoon, but the fire raging inside him was relentless. His body demanded more. His hands fumbled with Yeongsoo's shirt, the contact between them sending sparks of heat through his veins. He needed him—now more than ever.
But Yeongsoo wasn't rushing. He brushed his thumb over Haeun's cheek, his expression softer than it had been moments ago. "Are you sure you want this?" His voice was calm, but there was tension, a struggle for control. "Because once we start, there's no going back."
Haeun bit his lip, his eyes glazed over from the heat. It was hard to form words, but there was no doubt in his mind. "I've never felt like this before… but with you, it feels… right."
That was all Yeongsoo needed to hear. He leaned forward, pressing his forehead to Haeun's, his hands sliding up to cradle the back of his head. "Alright," he breathed, his voice low and rough. "Then I won't hold back anymore."
Their lips met in a desperate kiss, the tension between them snapping like a live wire. Haeun clung to Yeongsoo, his entire body responding to the touch, the scent, the closeness. Everything else—their past, Haeun's annoyance with him, the fact that he had once despised Yeongsoo—faded into the background. All that mattered was the heat, the need, and the pheromones that made him feel so safe.
Yeongsoo lifted Haeun effortlessly, carrying him toward the bedroom without breaking the kiss. His movements were careful, but his grip was firm and steady. He laid Haeun on the bed gently, then pulled back just enough to look him in the eye. "If you need me to stop—"
"Don't," Haeun cut him off, his voice breathless. "I don't want you to stop."
Yeongsoo's gaze darkened, his restraint finally snapping. His hands roamed over Haeun's body, and Haeun responded in kind, tugging Yeongsoo's shirt off with shaky hands. Each touch, each kiss, sent them spiraling deeper into their instincts.
Haeun's heat was overwhelming now, his body burning with need, but Yeongsoo's scent, his touch, soothed him in a way nothing else ever had. For the first time in his life, the nausea that usually came with being around alphas was absent. All he felt was a sense of security, of belonging.
Yeongsoo leaned down, his breath warm against Haeun's neck as he whispered, "You're mine now."
Haeun shuddered at the words, his body responding instantly. "Yes," he gasped, his hands gripping Yeongsoo's shoulders. "Yours."
The night blurred into a whirlwind of heat, passion, and overwhelming pheromones, and for the first time in his life, Haeun wasn't afraid. He was safe. He was home.
Three days later, Haeun woke up to the unfamiliar comfort of an unknown bed. Blinking against the sunlight streaming through the curtains, he quickly became aware of two things: he was naked and lying beside someone he didn't expect to see. As he turned his head, the sight of Cheon Yeongsoo's sleeping form next to him sent a jolt of panic through him.
Haeun's eyes flew open, and he gasped. "What the—" He scrambled to get out of bed but ended up tumbling to the floor in a tangle of sheets.
Yeongsoo stirred at the commotion, his eyes blinking open groggily. He propped himself up on one elbow
"What happened? How did you get on the floor? Get up, it's cold..." Yeongsoo's voice was still heavy with sleep, but there was an edge of annoyance in it.
Haeun blinked, his mind racing to piece together the fragmented memories of the past few days. "That's not the issue here! Why am I here, and why am I in your bed... naked?"
Yeongsoo's eyes rolled, and he shook his head with a resigned sigh. "You had your heat cycle, and my rut was approaching. So, you can guess what happened."
Haeun's eyes widened in shock. "Heat cycle? Did you just say heat cycle?!"
Yeongsoo nodded, pulling on a robe and moving to help Haeun off the floor. "Yes. We were both in a state where... well, it happened."
Haeun stared at Yeongsoo, his mind reeling. "Are you saying we slept together because I was in heat?"
Yeongsoo's expression was matter-of-fact as he offered Haeun a hand. "Yes."
Haeun's mind spun as he processed the reality of the situation. "This is amazing! This is my first time going through a heat cycle... and I—"
Yeongsoo stopped mid-stride, turning to face Haeun with a sharp gaze. "Repeat what you just said."
Haeun's cheeks were burning as he tried to calm his racing heart. "I—I said this is my first time going through a heat cycle."
Yeongsoo's eyes narrowed slightly. "And?"
Haeun hesitated, then nodded slowly. "And… I guess I didn't really know what to expect."
Yeongsoo's demeanor softened slightly. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Well, now you know. And I think it's safe to say we both learned a lot over the past few days."
Haeun looked around the room, still trying to come to terms with the reality of their situation. "I... I didn't mean for this to happen. I didn't plan for any of this. Did you, you know….knot?."
Yeongsoo's gaze was steady as he walked closer, his voice calm as he tried to recall what had happened the last three days.
"I don't know, I can't remember…"
Haeun blinked as he hand reached for his neck, he had a bed feeling about it. "You didn't mark me did you?"
"Like I said, I can't remember…im sure I…
Haeun turned to looked for a mirror while Yeongsoo was who talking came to a halt.
His eyes widened as he stared at the bit mark at the middle of Haeun's neck.
Yeongsoo considered this for a moment, his expression thoughtful as he faced palmed. "Well, we need to discuss what happens next. This wasn't just a one-time thing, and both of us need to be on the same page."
Haeun nodded again, though he was still feeling the aftereffects of the intense emotions and pheromones.
"So I'll be honest, I can't remember if we knotted but I definitely marked you.."
