We burst through the emergency exit, into the night air. Phoenix's phone crackled with static.
"Elijah, we need extraction, now!" Phoenix yelled.
Maya grasped my arm, pulling me through the alley. "We can't outrun them."
Nova provided cover, laying down suppressive fire. "Keep moving!"
Suddenly, a black helicopter thundered overhead, searchlights slicing through the darkness.
Rachel's voice echoed through a megaphone. "Ethan, surrender. You're running out of time."
I glanced up at the helicopter, heart racing.
Phoenix yanked me forward. "Don't look back."
A sleek, armored vehicle screeched to a halt beside us. Elijah leaned out, shouting.
"In, now!"
We piled in, bullets ricocheting off the vehicle's armor.
As we sped away, I caught a glimpse of Rachel, her eyes blazing with determination.
"This isn't over," Nova vowed.
Maya's expression turned grim. "We need to get Ethan to a secure location."
Phoenix nodded. "There's only one place left."
