Jude arrived at the company early on Monday morning.
As expected, Xu Mengyuan and Hephaestus hadn't arrived yet.
Fortunately, Jude's fingerprint had already been entered into the access control system of the Third Era, so he didn't have to stand outside and wait.
Jude swiped the glass door open and walked into the deserted reception area.
He activated the corridor lights via voice command, illuminating the entire hallway. Then he turned left, entered the pantry, added some coffee beans to the automatic coffee machine, fetched a box of milk from the refrigerator, added it to the milk pitcher, and selected latte from the menu.
Once the coffee was ready, Jude picked up a cup, grabbed a small bottle of room-temperature mini coke from the shelf, and casually stuffed it into his suit pocket.
He sipped his coffee as he made his way back to the reception area.
Jude's gaze was once again drawn to the electronic clock on the wall.
