The Commander stood with hands behind his back, exhaling softly.
"The matter is settled," an unnamed elder munched on peanuts sent over from Feng City, and his expression carried a rare hint of solemnity.
"The responsibilities that I should have taken charge of have come to this point, and they are, indeed, settled."
The Commander calmly said, "The success or failure that follows is up to the younger generation... I can only fight against the Tribulation Ash on the periphery; as for the key within, it's beyond our interference."
The elder laughed and spoke, "After such great efforts, the key to victory or defeat is ultimately handed over to the younger generation; do you feel at ease?"
"A person must accept old age in their lifetime."
The Commander looked at his face in a copper mirror and said, "I seem young, still as handsome as before, with an undiminished demeanor, but in truth, I have aged."
