The cause of the incident was very simple.
The woman in front of her was named Wang Miaofang.
She ran a small clothing store to support her family.
Her son, Liu Zicheng, was a high school junior at Jinde County's Third Middle School.
Liu Zicheng was usually a good student with decent grades; according to his teachers, there shouldn't be any problem with him getting into college.
However, a few days ago, Liu Zicheng had a verbal altercation with a classmate which escalated, and he threw a punch, knocking out one of his classmate's front teeth.
Upon learning of this, Wang Miaofang rushed to the school to apologize to the assaulted student and actively compensated for the dental expenses.
But the school authorities said that Liu Zicheng's fighting was a serious violation of school discipline and rules, and he must be expelled.
Wang Miaofang, of course, could not accept this reality.
She ran to the principal's office to plead.
