In his flurry, the Daoist accidentally revealed that he was only eighteen years old, actually hadn't yet completed his medical training, and lacked innate talent in the field, never having been able to practice independently. His presence in the palace was purely due to a shortage of hands; the Xin-level infirmary had been short-staffed, so he was assigned there.
