Having passed through the front hall, Wei Yuan made his way toward the main hall. The main hall, about thirty feet high, had only partially collapsed and was quite conspicuous to the left. The distance from the front hall to the main hall was a full five miles, which Wei Yuan and Xu Wan'er hardly noticed, but Xu Wenwu was complaining bitterly about the exhausting climb.
The main hall's doors were still in place, though only one side remained intact, with the other half lying shattered on the ground. Entering the grand hall, Wei Yuan was met with darkness. It was very dim inside, without any candlelight or lamps, only illuminated by the scant light seeping through the damaged roof. Since the sunlight was blocked by the Main Peak, the interior of the hall was especially gloomy and beyond a slight distance, nothing could be seen clearly.
