The Merit Hall occupied a mountain peak all by itself, with one building situated mid-mountain and another at the peak. The mid-mountain area housed several large halls connected together, imposing and majestic. This place specially handled matters of merit for those in the Dao Foundation Realm, including inquiries, verification, and exchanges of merit; all were conducted here. People were constantly coming in and out of the several halls, a hive of busy activity.
At Taichu Palace, merit was the primary source of resources for the majority of disciples; even children from Gate Valve Families, after forming their Dao Foundation, sought ways to snatch up merit to exchange for resources. Otherwise, relying solely on one's family was an easy way to earn ridicule.
