When Ji Xing found his sister, Ji Wanwan was sitting beside Qi Hao, lost in thought.
Seeing his sister's usually lively eyes now lifeless, like stagnant water, Ji Xing felt heartbroken.
He calmed his slightly panting breath and gently approached his sister.
"Xingxing, you're here…" Ji Wanwan's voice was hoarse as she forced a rather unattractive smile.
Ji Xing glanced at Qi Hao in the hibernation pod, and the stabbing pain in his heart intensified.
Unable to bear it, he turned his head away and joked with his sister as usual, "Stop smiling, sis. You look uglier than when you cry right now."
Though his tone was joking, the trembling and sorrow in his voice couldn't be completely hidden.
Ji Wanwan truly laughed this time, "Since you're here, why don't you sit with Brother Haozi for a while?"
"Sure!" Ji Xing quickly grabbed a stool and sat next to his sister.
