There was nothing particular about floats used for big fish; the setup was very simple. Lin Yang casually picked out a float that would take about three grams of lead, did a mid-water setup with an empty hook for even water, and the rig was ready to go.
Once he drew his lot and found a good spot, he could start fishing normally.
