He paused.
Listening carefully, it was a sound of crying, desperately suppressed.
Fu Rongyin's brows almost imperceptibly twitched as he pulled open the door and walked out into the living room, only to see a quilt wrapped around the sofa.
As he walked closer, he realized it was Chi Yue hiding inside the quilt and crying.
"Chi Yue," he called her.
Chi Yue didn't react.
Fu Rongyin pulled down her quilt, and as she looked up, under the dim yellow light, Chi Yue's exquisitely beautiful face was covered in tear stains, her almond-shaped eyes still brimming with tears, ready to fall at any moment.
Fu Rongyin's gaze slightly narrowed, "What are you doing?"
The next second, Chi Yue reached out and hugged his waist, "I'm scared~"
Fu Rongyin's body stiffened.
Although they had been together twice, they had never embraced each other so formally.
After a brief shock, Fu Rongyin stretched out his hand to push her, but her grip only tightened.
