After a brief silence, she tiptoed out of the room, changed her clothes, and left.
Last night, she had set her phone to silent. Nan Bingyu had called several times, but she hadn't answered; the most recent call had come two hours ago.

"Listen to me, when my brother comes back, have him check on you. You can't put this off any longer."
