Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Who am I, clear?

Chi Yue had been making merry with a stranger just a moment ago, and the next she was whisked away to an upstairs room.

She had drunk a bit too much, her walk unsteady, everything before her a blur.

But she accurately crashed into the lap of the man on the sofa, groping around haphazardly, "Nice body."

The man didn't respond to her, nor did he push her away.

Chi Yue giggled, growing bolder, the words she wouldn't normally say began to spill out, "You feel so good to the touch, way better than my guy at home."

Fu Rongyin's eyes suddenly turned cold, his gaze on her held a hint of chill, "Better than the one at your home?"

With alcohol muddling her brain, Chi Yue felt that voice sounded familiar. She nodded indiscriminately, "That one, yeah, he's getting engaged tomorrow. So, how about you appease your sister tonight?"

Chi Yue's hands continued to wander until he firmly grasped them.

The man lifted her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze, "Take a good look, who am I?"

Chi Yue rubbed her eyes hard, the handsome features of the man in front of her gradually coming into focus, her expression slowly solidifying.

"F... Fifth Uncle?"

Fu Rongyin slightly curled his lips, "Sobered up?"

Chi Yue: "..."

She got to her feet, hands and feet all over the place, not knowing where to put them. After a long moment, she rubbed her throbbing temples, "You... how come I'm here?"

"Are you asking why we are here together?"

Chi Yue nodded as if pounding garlic.

The man leisurely straightened his shirt that she had disheveled, "Wasn't it you who said life is short and forcibly brought me back to your room?"

At his words, a vein throbbed on Chi Yue's forehead.

She tried to recall, only remembering that she was drunk, clinging to a handsome man, insisting on dragging him to her room.

Looking at the man's stunningly handsome face that could incite envy from both mortals and deities alike, her bravado from moments ago vanished without a trace.

The man before her was Fu Rongyin, her ex-boyfriend Fu Rao's Fifth Uncle, the youngest and most promising elite in A City, and also the technical backbone of the new energy development department at Fu Group.

When she was with Fu Rao, she had seen him a few times, but it was always from afar, never speaking a word.

Who would have thought that going out to drown her sorrows she would meet him, and even become entangled with him.

Pinching the bridge of her nose, Chi Yue said, "It's all a misunderstanding. If Fifth Uncle doesn't have anything else, I'll be leaving now."

"Wait." The man strode over to her, "I'll have Fu Rao come to pick you up."

Chi Yue: "He's getting married tomorrow. Isn't it inappropriate to call him over now?"

Fu Rongyin paused for a moment, "I'll take you."

Chi Yue was still hesitating whether to let him drive her, but she was already being led to the car.

Her mind still foggy, the car came to a steady stop downstairs. Chi Yue came to her senses and said "Thank you" to him before trying to pull the car door open.

The door wouldn't open, Chi Yue looked at him, "Mr. Fu?"

Fu Rongyin's eyes were dark and indecipherable, "Not calling me Fifth Uncle anymore?"

Chi Yue: "... It doesn't seem too appropriate."

Fu Rongyin gave her a glance, then opened the door and got out first, "I'll walk you up."

Chi Yue's heart trembled, and she blurted out without thinking, "Mr. Fu, are you staying the night?"

Fu Rongyin: "Is that not okay?"

Chi Yue: "..."

The two went upstairs, opened the door, didn't even turn on the lights, and Chi Yue was promptly carried into the bedroom.

...

When Chi Yue woke up, the sound of water from the bathroom abruptly stopped.

The man emerged from the bathroom, only a bath towel wrapped around his waist, droplets of water still unsponged on his muscled chest.

She avoided looking at the scratches crisscrossing his upper body, "Mr. Fu, we're both adults, I hope once you leave this door, you can forget this ever happened."
