When Zhaozhao fell, she struck her knee on a stone, causing a soft tissue contusion. Luckily, the bone was fine, but her knee swelled up significantly.
To facilitate a swift recovery, the doctor suggested she limit bending her knee for a while.
So, Chuyi got her a wheelchair.
Upon leaving the hospital room, Chuyi wheeled her into the elevator where a mother and her son, about four or five years old, with a sturdy look, were already present. The boy kept staring curiously at Zhaozhao throughout.
Zhaozhao smiled at them.
The boy moved closer to his mother and then asked crisply, "Mommy, is that sister a cripple?"
Before he could finish, the young woman covered his mouth and looked up embarrassedly, giving Zhaozhao a sheepish smile.
Zhaozhao, already feeling that being in a wheelchair was a bit much, smiled awkwardly when she heard him and then heard Chuyi say sternly, "Sister is not a cripple. Her leg is just injured."
