The burly man instructed his subordinates.

Two subordinates snickered as they carried the woman down from the car and into a room that had lights turned on—a large tile-roofed house.

After setting the woman down, the burly man and two of his underlings exited the courtyard. The driver readied the van to leave, planning to burn the vehicle to destroy the evidence.
