"Fei, where's your sister-in-law, isn't she at home?"
Zhou Shufen asked Qin Yun again.
"Aunt Shufen, I'm here. I just got up from a nap!"
At that moment, Qin Yun had already walked out to the front door of the main hall. She lied to Zhou Shufen about just waking up from a nap, and Zhou Shufen didn't suspect a thing.
"Aunt Shufen, come inside, have a rest in the cool, drink some tea!"
Qin Yun called out to Zhou Shufen again.
Zhou Shufen's arrival disrupted her private interaction with Lin Fei, and she felt somewhat resentful inside, but on the surface, she still had to pretend to be courteous.
"I won't sit down. It's like this, a few days ago my pig broke out of the pen and went and destroyed a few of your corn stalks. I've come to compensate for the corn. These corn stalks have ripened, and I'm giving them to you!"
Zhou Shufen put down the basket and poured out a dozen freshly picked ripe corn stalks at the front door of the main hall.
