"Can't let anyone die?"
The crowd nodded repeatedly, understanding Li Xiaobao's meaning well. Just like the last time with Jia Fei and Guo Liang, didn't Guo Liang end up beaten to a pulp, and yet nothing came of it.
"Got it?"
"Got it!"
The crowd nodded again while gripping their hoes tightly, as if they were about to fight for their lives right then.
"Alright, everyone, go home!"
Since the day's work was already done, Li Xiaobao waved his hand and told everyone.
"Xiaobao, what's really going on?"
On the way home, Luo Changgeng looked grave. He always felt that what Li Xiaobao was talking about wasn't that simple.
"It's nothing, Grandpa. I was just giving them a heads-up to avoid a repeat of last time!"
Li Xiaobao was referring to the incident with Jia Fei and Guo Liang. If he hadn't been there, he guessed the workers would really not have dared to lay a hand on them.
"Really?" Luo Changgeng was still somewhat disbelieving.
"Oh, grandpa, of course not!"
