"Pfft~"
Si Xue couldn't help but laugh at the comical sight of Liu Zheng flapping about in the air.
"Hehe."
He gave Si Xue a radiant smile.
"Not bad, keep sweet-talking like that."
Si Xue's smile faded.
"If it makes you happy, boss."
Liu Zheng said ingratiatingly.
"You must have made quite a bit on this trip out, right?"
Si Xue asked.
"Don't mention it, boss. I didn't make a penny, and I actually took a huge loss."
"Used up a ton of good stuff, and all I got was a crappy knife, a broken gun, and two worthless stones. I completed the task 150%, and City Hall didn't give me anything but a bunch of empty promises and this useless badge."
He ranted.
"Shall I mention it to City Hall, have the task rewards cashed out, and leave Peacock and Mr. Li's issue for you to solve?"
Si Xue glanced at him and said.
"Ah, there's no need for that, how could I trouble you, boss? I'll just swallow the loss."
Liu Zheng sighed.
"Seeing you so shameless puts me at ease."
"Ah? Why?"
