"Goodbye."
Liu Zheng said succinctly.
"Huh?"
Niu Ma looked at him in surprise.
"I'm only crazy, not stupid."
He rolled his eyes.
"Yes, yes, you're right."
Niu Ma beamed with joy.
"What if I add this?"
The demon gestured to the side, and a fiery portal appeared out of nowhere.
It reached in and pulled out a delivery box.
"Name: Legendary Delivery Man's Delivery Box"
"Type: Item"
"Quality: Perfect"
"Effect One: Place delivery orders and meals inside the box, it will automatically check if they match."
"Effect Two: Meals in the box will not spoil or degrade."
"Effect Three: After successful delivery, an identical meal will be replicated (limited to Excellent quality or below)."
"Can it be taken out of the instance: No"
"Note: Hunger drives us all!"
Great stuff, absolutely great stuff.
Liu Zheng's mouth watered.
The first and second effects could be ignored, but the last effect was explosive.
It was known that the Bloody Restaurant's deliveries started at Excellent quality, and some were even of Fine quality.
With this delivery box, it was like he was getting several props of Excellent quality or higher for free every day.
Even if he wasn't satisfied with the effect, he could trade it with Niu Ma or the French Plane Tree.
Moreover, with this, the Legendary Delivery Man's three-piece set was only missing a hat.
Liu Zheng was really looking forward to the effects of the Legendary Delivery Man set.
"Where's the hat?"
He asked.
"The hat isn't with me, but if you beat me, I can give you a clue."
The demon said.
"All right."
Liu Zheng nodded, but Niu Ma kicked him.
"What are you doing?"
He demanded angrily.
"Don't you think you agreed too quickly?"
Niu Ma reminded him.
Liu Zheng paused, startled.
"Are you playing tricks?"
He looked at the demon.
"I only encouraged you to follow your desires."
The demon shook its head.
"Heh. Let's go."
He signaled to Niu Ma.
"You can't leave now."
"Once you've agreed, you've got to bet."
The demon sighed.
"Your dealer doesn't mind?"
Liu Zheng looked at the Succubus croupier.
"Can't help it, handsome. Who can defy the boss?"
The Succubus croupier spread her hands, a look of helplessness on her face.
"Why the hell didn't you say so earlier?"
He glared at Niu Ma.
"I damn well didn't know either."
Niu Ma felt unjustly accused.
"If not, we run."
Liu Zheng looked at the exit, then his pupils contracted.
A cowboy leant against the doorframe, his gun cocked.
"Can you beat it?"
He whispered.
"Can't beat it, this bastard is even stronger than that tree."
Niu Ma shook his head.
"No need to be so tense."
The voice of the demon came.
"I just want to bet with you, you can fold anytime."
Its tone was gentle.
"Might makes right, huh?"
With things as they were, Liu Zheng could only return to his seat.
The demon smiled and sat opposite him.
"Lilith, deal the cards."
The demon snapped his fingers.
"Good luck, handsome."
The Succubus croupier made an encouraging gesture towards Liu Zheng.
"Hey hey, aren't I your boss?"
The demon chuckled wryly.
"But he's better looking than you."
The Succubus croupier chuckled as she dealt the hole cards to both.
Liu Zheng picked his up and saw a Spade Ace and a Heart Ace.
Now he really had a pair of Aces.
He thought it over and tossed in a white chip.
It was free anyway, so if he lost, he lost.
The demon smiled slightly and chose to call.
Confirming it didn't raise the bet, the Succubus croupier dealt three community cards.
A Club Ace, a Spade Eight, and a Heart Three.
Liu Zheng lifted his eyelids.
He now had three Aces.
The demon's best hand could only be three Eights so far.
Even if it held two suited cards, the chances of getting a flush were as low as him getting quads or a full house.
As for a straight flush, given the current public cards, the probability was too low.
Raise the bet?
Liu Zheng struggled internally.
His initial plan was to win over half a million to have Niu Ma help him buy a Scalped Ticket to Heaven Island.
Now he had only made a few tens of thousands, far from enough.
If his hand was weak, Liu Zheng would of course fold immediately.
After all, the demon had said, it's just for one round.
But with such strong cards and high odds of winning, folding seemed a pity.
"Raise."
He threw out all the white chips.
After all, they couldn't be exchanged for cash.
"Call."
The demon still wore that smiling face, showing no hint of emotion.
The succubus croupier dealt the fourth community card, the Ace of Diamonds.
Liu Zheng's pupils shook.
He now had a sure win.
"All-in."
He pushed all his chips forward without hesitation.
"I fold."
The demon was just as decisive.
It waved its hand lightly, and the black chips were pushed toward Liu Zheng by an invisible force.
"Lucky you."
The demon clapped its hands.
"Continue?"
"Continue."
Liu Zheng's expression changed, finally speaking up.
The second game began.
He picked up his hole cards, a King of Clubs and a Queen of Clubs.
"Raise."
He tossed a white chip.
"Call."
The demon had no reason not to follow.
The succubus croupier dealt the first round of community cards.
A Jack of Clubs, a Ten of Clubs, and a King of Diamonds.
"This hand..."
He was highly likely to make a flush, or even possibly a straight flush.
Liu Zheng pondered for a few seconds, then tossed another white chip
"You really are cautious."
The demon remarked, then chose to call.
Liu Zheng chuckled.
Nonsense, his money was all paid for with flesh.
The succubus croupier dealt the fourth community card.
A King of Hearts.
Three of a kind, Kings?
Liu Zheng thought for a moment, then raised another white chip.
"Call, and raise."
The demon threw out several black chips, exactly matching the number of his remaining white chips.
"Call."
He hesitated for a few seconds but did not fold.
The succubus croupier dealt the final community card.
A Five of Clubs.
Although it wasn't a straight flush, a flush was still good.
Liu Zheng thought it over and threw out a black chip.
A small loss is no loss.
"Call, and raise."
The demon threw a few black chips, exactly equal to the amount he had won in the previous round.
"Hmm..."
Liu Zheng fell into contemplation.
From the look of the cards, only a Flush with Aces or a Full House could beat his hand.
The probability wasn't high.
Even if he lost, he would just be back to where he started.
"Call."
Liu Zheng made his decision.
"Showdown."
The demon revealed its hole cards, a Nine of Clubs and an Eight of Clubs.
"Too bad."
It said with some regret.
Liu Zheng expressionlessly collected the chips into his stash.
"Continue?"
"Continue."
The third game began.
He flipped over his hole cards, an Eight of Spades and a Nine of Spades.
"Raise."
Another white chip.
"Call."
The first round of community cards.
An Ace of Spades, a Ten of Spades, and a Jack of Spades.
"Is this a flush already?"
Liu Zheng was somewhat surprised, his card luck was getting better and better.
However, it didn't rule out the possibility that the demon might also have a flush.
"Raise."
He threw out all the white chips.
After all, it wasn't a loss.
"Call, and raise."
The demon threw a pile of chips, equaling Liu Zheng's white chips plus all the chips he had previously won.
Liu Zheng frowned, this guy either had a flush or three of a kind.
But, his chances of winning were obviously greater.
"Call."
The fourth community card, a Seven of Spades.
A straight flush.
"Phew."
Liu Zheng secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Now, even if the demon had an Ace of Spades, he need not worry.
"Raise."
He threw out a black chip.
"Call, and raise."
The demon pushed out a stack of chips, exactly matching the rest of Liu Zheng's chips.
"All-in."
Liu Zheng stared at the demon for a long while, finally choosing to call.
No one with a straight flush in hand would choose to fold.
A voice in his ear kept saying.
