"Manager, here's a document for you to sign, please."
The subordinate, dressed in a suit, respectfully bent forward and extended the document ahead.
"Leave it on the table, come back in ten minutes to get it."
Wang Manni, with her back to him, looked out at the Metropolis through the floor-to-ceiling window.
"Okay, Manager."
The subordinate placed the document down, even wiping the dust off the desk with his suit sleeve before quietly exiting the manager's office.
He didn't know if Wang Manni could see, but hearing was enough.
"It's really nice."
Wang Manni turned her head and spoke to the one-way glass next to the centralized office area.
As soon as the subordinate left the office, he resumed his imposing demeanor.
Wang Manni knew this was his usual self.
Just last week, he had confidently asked her out on a date.
And now, he had to bow and scrape before her, even wiping her desk with his expensive suit.
She walked up to the floor mirror, looking at her reflection.
