Bai Fei, the young lady, was clearly terrified, even trembling a bit, but still she stood resolutely in front of Bai Zhi.
Bai Da's face darkened with anger, his features twisting into something loathsome, and his eyes, reddened with rage, made it seem as though Bai Zhi was his sworn enemy.
"It's okay, cousin."
Bai Zhi pulled Bai Fei aside, giving her a reassuring look, before turning to gaze indifferently at Bai Da, as if she hadn't seen the terrifying look in his eyes.
It was almost as if Bai Da were a stranger to her, whether he was angry, enraged, or sad; it had nothing to do with her. In her eyes, Bai Da was nothing more than a jumping clown.
"Bai Zhi, how can you treat your brother and sister like this? Is this how I taught you?"
