Yue Feng had been left with most of a bowl of Loose Powder which he then poured back into the Bait Opening Bowl and added a lot of extra water to make the bait sticker. Then, he fashioned it into fist-sized bait balls and used Lead Skin to carry them all back into the nest.
The fishing site rules allow the use of Lead Skin in the nest, yet it was customary among anglers to use Lead Skin only early in the fishing session, and, after the fishing stabilized, few continued doing this.
The bait balls created large splashes and noise when hitting the water, which could disturb the fish; not placing them might have left a few fish in the nest, but after a few bait balls, the fishing spot would be empty, the fish scared away.
That's exactly what happened to Li Cungen; with more than ten bait balls splashing down, even nearby Yue Feng was significantly affected, his previous rapid catch rate suddenly stopping.
