Old Liu's fishing experience was incredibly rich, and when he cast his rod, he didn't use the full length; he was using an 8.1-meter big fish rod designed for pond fishing, and the cast was only about seven-eighths of the rod's length, so the bait hit the water around 7.2 meters out.
This method of not using the full rod length for catching big fish definitely counts as wisdom gained through experience.
The fishing line wasn't too tight, so after hooking a fish, it was relatively easy to stand the rod up.
Once the rod was standing, its bent shape could absorb a lot of the fish's struggling force, reducing the pressure on the main and sub-lines considerably. It then became much harder for the fish to escape!
While others were handling their fish, Yue Feng wasn't idle either, starting to act as a commentator.
