"Smooth talker."
Jiang Jiu quietly retorted, "You went to the company, were you busy?"
Jiang Siyan responded lazily, "Busy to death, Jiang Jiu, when I get back you have to treat me well."
Downstairs, Jiang Siyan took off his glasses and seemed truly exhausted, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Yet, over the phone, there wasn't a hint of fatigue in his voice. Normally, Jiang Jiu would have thought he was acting coquettishly again.
"I'm hungry, pick up dinner for me on your way. Bring it here if you're not done with work; don't stay overtime at the office, or I'll starve!"
On the phone, Jiang Jiu's tone carried a bit of caprice, and a doting smile appeared on Jiang Siyan's face, "As you wish."
After hanging up, Jiang Jiu saw Jiang Siyan gather his documents and stand up. She hurriedly leaned on her crutch and returned to her hospital bed.
In her haste, she accidentally knocked her injured foot, causing tears to fall from the pain.
