Not sure how long it had been, Jiang Jiu was suddenly grabbed, "Jiang Jiu!"
Jiang Jiu, groggily opened her eyes only to find Jiang Siyan, his face ashen, standing in front of her. Then, a pungent smell hit her, and she couldn't help coughing, "Cough, cough!"
Jiang Siyan's eyes were bloodshot, but seeing her unharmed, the anxiety he was holding finally settled. This was the first time he had lost his temper with Jiang Jiu.
"Are you insane? You went to sleep with the gas on!"
Jiang Jiu opened her eyes and realized the room was full of smoke. She immediately understood and, meeting Jiang Siyan's angry expression, explained with some guilt, "I, I was thinking of stewing some soup… and I accidentally fell asleep."
Jiang Siyan went to open all the windows for ventilation and, upon hearing her, just scowled without a word.
It was a while before the smoke dissipated, and Jiang Jiu noticed that the stew pot had blackened beyond use.
"I'm sorry…"
