Jiang Jiu stretched out her hand to stop the other from approaching, "Don't forget, you and Liang Xu are good brothers, even if I'm not with him, it definitely won't be you!"
Jiang Siyan's gaze was dark, like an abyss, "Not with me, then who do you want to be with? Jiang Jiu, you're more of a player than I thought."
The next second, Jiang Jiu was easily picked up and forcefully thrown onto the bed.
Perhaps it was that last remark that angered Jiang Siyan, but he was extra clingy tonight, and Jiang Jiu was tormented until the late hours of the night before she could rest. She was shaking severely but still had to be mindful of Liang Xu outside the room door, scared of being discovered.
Early in the morning, before the alarm went off Jiang Jiu quickly got out of bed. Jiang Siyan was lying in the spot next to her. Without his glasses, his handsome resting face appeared, with fewer traces of his usual cold arrogance and more of an elegant, noble air, and his contours carried some shadows of his younger days.
Remembering how fierce the other was last night, Jiang Jiu felt a particularly strong soreness around her waist. She carefully made her way to the bathroom and noticed there were still marks from his fingers on the side of her waist.
Jiang Jiu cursed inwardly, quickly changed her clothes, and washed her face before opening the bedroom door.
She immediately glanced over at the sofa area, only to discover Liang Xu had already gotten up.
"So early, shall I make you breakfast?"
"There's an urgent matter at the office, they've called several times, I need to leave now."
Liang Xu picked up his coat and kissed her cheek, "I won't have breakfast, there's no time."
As soon as he had finished speaking, Liang Xu's phone started to vibrate again.
Jiang Jiu didn't know if he was genuinely busy with work, or if "Supervisor Li" had started hurrying him again.
Watching him leave, Jiang Jiu breathed a sigh of relief, went into the kitchen, and started boiling water.
At that moment, the bedroom door opened, and Jiang Siyan walked out dressed sharply, not seeming to worry about bumping into Liang Xu at all.
Jiang Jiu gave him a look and went on to cook noodles as if she saw nothing.
"Don't add tomatoes."
Jiang Jiu didn't look up, "There's none for you."
Jiang Siyan stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. His hot breath hit Jiang Jiu's neck, "So, you want to feed me yourself, hm?"
Jiang Jiu almost collapsed, hastily breaking away from his embrace, "Stop it, I'm cooking!"
Jiang Siyan chuckled lightly, lifted her up, and sat her down on the cabinet beside him. He then braced his arms on either side of her body, preventing her from moving away.
The man's eyes were deep and wolf-like, clearly not joking.
Jiang Jiu eventually gave in, "I'll make you a bowl of noodles with gravy, okay?"
Jiang Siyan lightly pecked her reddened lips, "Fine."
Jiang Siyan was very picky with food.
Ever since he was a kid, he didn't like vegetables. His grandfather tried both the carrot and the stick, but Jiang Siyan just wouldn't eat his greens.
She remembered once, his grandfather, in an attempt to correct Jiang Siyan's bad habit, specially made a dish of scrambled eggs with tomatoes and stir-fried spinach.
Unexpectedly, after Jiang Siyan forced down a piece of tomato, he turned pale, started sweating profusely, and ultimately threw up, scaring his grandfather so much that he was rushed to the village clinic.
In the end, it was Jiang Jiu, holding a small bowl and sitting beside him, who exaggerated how delicious spinach was, coaxing Jiang Siyan to eat.
Jiang Jiu quickly made two bowls of noodles, topped with a few strips of spinach.
The way Jiang Jiu ate spinach hadn't changed since she was little; she always bit the stem first, slowly munching her way down the whole leaf into her mouth like a little rabbit nibbling on grass—it was very cute.
By association, even the spinach seemed tastier.
After eating, Jiang Jiu was obviously intending to send this demanding guest away, "I need to go to work."
Jiang Siyan nodded, "I want a set of pajamas."
Jiang Jiu looked at him incredulously, "What did you say?"
Jiang Siyan walked ahead without a care, "I'll send you my measurements later. Also, I like silk fabric, black, white, gray, all are fine."
Jiang Jiu burst into laughter, "Why should I buy your pajamas?"
Jiang Siyan stopped walking and looked at her, a contemplative look behind his gold-rimmed glasses, "Oh, I see, you don't like seeing me in them... fine then."
Jiang Jiu: "..."
Fine my ass!
