Xuanyuan Teng's arrival in no way prevented Ye Tianchen from punishing Xuanyuan Yu. Once he had decided to nip the problem in the bud, he showed no mercy. Both Xuanyuan brothers—Xuanyuan Teng and Xuanyuan Yu—had to be killed; letting them live would only become a major thorn in the side later on.
