"Do you really think that you alone have the power to find the mastermind behind the scenes?" Liu Rumei asked Ye Tianchen with an obvious scorn in her voice.

On their trip to the United States, if not for Ye Tianchen, Liu Rumei and the others would not only have failed to complete their mission but very likely would have lost their lives there. Having returned to the country, Liu Rumei had been busy with her research on technology and military weapons, only now finding the time to take a break. The past incident had always been a source of unease for Liu Rumei and she had not lied; over the past few years, the Liu family had also sensed a persistent force trying to manipulate them. Unfortunately, despite sending out many experts and spies, they had been unable to get to the bottom of it, making Liu Rumei think of joining hands with Ye Tianchen.
