There is a plethora of universities in Dong hai including the renowned Fudan University, with a history spanning over a century, as well as emerging new institutions represented by Dong hai University.
Since its establishment, Dong hai University has combined the city's unique characteristics, focusing on economics as its draw, and has prioritized building the nation's top school of economic management. It has developed other faculties around the core of the School of Economic Management.
