Lunar July 14th evening.
This day happened to be the day before the start of the National Day holiday on September 30th. All schools had started their vacation that afternoon, and Zhai Min was no exception.
However, her school, Second High School, was lax in its management, so whether on vacation or not, it really didn't make much difference to these students. She hardly ever attended classes seriously, anyway.
Zhai Min naturally loved lively scenes. Despite her young age, she had a bunch of wild friends in school and society, and they had a great time together. With the official holiday finally here, it was time to party!
Right after school, she immediately made plans with more than a dozen people to go out and have fun that night—bars, night markets, arcades, and so on, partying in one place after another until well into the night. As it neared midnight, she realized she was out of money and said goodbye to everyone, staggering home alone in a daze.
