Shade Town, Terry House
(8 year old Terry, watching his parents argue from the stairs)
Mom: Where have you been?
Dad: Doing my job.
Mom: Your job is dangerous to us, people around you, and yourself.
Dad: That dangerous job gives us the money to survive. I'll be careful.
Mom: This is not the life I want forour son.
(Terry runner upstairs and in his room)
(Terry's dad watching him from his shadows)
(Terry's dad leaves through the shadows)
(1 week later)
(Mom watches a news report)
News reporter: A shocking development happened here today. When supervillains Tank and his unnamed partner tried steal a shipment of unstable technology from Damaged Tech. When AA member Thunderstorms tried to stop them a battle accrued. Then a disagreement of to villains caused the l device to explode, destroying Tank's partner.
(Terry's Mom breaks down in tears)
(Terry watches her and cries)
(Few minutes later)
(Terry trying to sleep in his room)
(Terry looks at his scary toy tiger)
(Terry shadows starts to move and forms into a shadow tiger)
Terry: Too dark.
(Terry hides in the covers)
(7 years later)
(Terry sleeping with a lot of lights on)
(Terry waking up)
(Terry grabs a flashlight and goes downstairs)
(Terry sees his mom trying to pay bills)
(Terry walking to school)
(Terry in class close to light of the windows )
Boy 1: Looks like nyctophobia is using own night light.
(Boy and his friends laugh at Terry)
Teacher: Good news class, we are going on a wilderness trip in the woods near the old camp grounds. We will stay there until late tonight.
Terry: Until light tonight!
Boy 2: What's wrong can take your night light.
(All of class laugh at him)
Teacher: Sorry this is a whole class thing.
(Few minutes later)
(Terry reading a poetry book)
(Boy 1 grabs Terry's book)
Boy 2: Look guys, the baby is trying to be a poet.
Terry: Hey I was reading that.
Boy 1: Here catch.
(Boy 2 throws Terry's book in the dark closet)
Boy 1: What are you waiting for, go get it.
(Terry tries to reach his book but stops)
Boy 2: Freak!
(Boys walk away)
(Darkness in the closet moves)
Terry: Too dark.
(Terry grabs his book and runs away)
Woods
(Terry and his class walk together in the woods)
Teacher: Stay together kids, if we hurry we can make a fire before sundown.
Terry: Well, that's really swell.
(Boys talking to themselves)
(Hours later)
(Teacher and kids trying start a fire)
Teacher: Need more light.
(Terry uses his flashlight)
Teacher: Thanks Terry, that helps.
(Teacher and kids start a fire)
Teacher: Great idea to bring a flashlight.
Terry: I'm always prepared for the dark.
Boy 2: Do you mind, we need some light to start a fire too.
Teacher: Terry, do you mind helping them?
Terry: Fine.
(Terry walks to camping site with the two boys)
Terry: I don't think we should this far from others.
(Boy 2 grabs Terry flashlight from his hands)
Terry: What are you…
(Boys push in a old dark room and locks the door outside)
Terry: Let me out of here.
Boy 1: Come on dude you can't be scared of the dark forever.
Boy 2: This will be fun for everybody, especially us.
(Terry tries to open the door but fails)
(Terry hears snakes and bats around him)
Terry: Too dark, can't see, scared.
(Terry shadows covers him and his surroundings)
Boy: 1 Did you think he passed out from fear?
Boy 2: Probably messed up his pants.
(Shadow bat and snakes bust out of the wall)
Boy 1: What the.
Boy 2: Run.
(Boys run in different directions)
(Shadows creatures run after him)
Terry: No.
(Boy 1 run near the fires)
Teacher: Wow what happened.
Boy 1: Monsters.
Teacher: Calm down, there are no monsters…
(Shadow creatures jump out of the woods)
(Everyone freaks out and from them)
Teacher: Everyone near the fire.
(Everybody hides behind fire)
(Terry seeing the monsters)
Terry: Stop!
(Monsters stop attacking and disappear)
Terry: Never did that before.
Boy 2: Help!
(Boy 2 dangling over a cliff and over hard rocks)
(Terry runs toward him)
(Boy 2 loses his grip and fell)
(Terry covers himself in shadows and creates a rip to grab the boy then pulls him up)
Terry: Never did that either.
(Hours later)
(Police arrived)
Police Officer: Is everyone accounted for?
Boy 2: Not Terry, those things ate him.
(Terry watches from his shadows)
Terry House
(Terry mom asleep in bills)
(Terry appears on shadows )
(Terry carries his mom to her head and kisses her head)
Terry: By mother.
(Terry disappears)
(Terry sneaks on bus and out of town)
