Chapter 24 - moved in together

Emily pov.

I met sir Martin on my way inside the office and he told me to follow him, it's been three hours since he was informing me of the role I had to play, and also Lisa was his daughter, " you remember that really cute and annoying child? She was to be my daughter, and also he told me I would stay with him so I could take better care of her, this was all too much to process but well I could really use a family right now, Daisy was completely avoiding me and I could not even get trough to her, I had wanted to share the good yet surprising new to her, every thing was going well except, ..... For Martin,

The way he speaks to me is just too commanding.

Not in a pleased way.

He talks to me like he expects me to just follow his orders and not have anything to say to it, and that truly bothered me.

Today is the day I moved to my new home.

Lisa my daughter I surpose, had gone to play with her friends in another part of the estate.

And wow....

....--------**-----------+++----------*-----+----******--

The house..... Sorry I mean his mansion was amazing, almost every things in it was glass, even the tables and the floor was made of glass, am sure if there was a way to make a chair glass he would buy it to.

He also introduced me to the house keeper, mrs Dora Pendlebury, she was a woman of fifty years, she had one child and she was divorced, she had been serving there family for twenty seven years, and had eventually moved to stay with him to serve him, she was more like a family to him now,

He showed me more of the mansion, and finally we were at the door of our bedroom, in fact I had thought we would be sharing a room together, but seems like not, as he had arranged a separate bedroom for both of us, the Lisa's room, and the rest of the house.

Well Mrs Pendlebury? Dose she...

I had wanted to ask a question about Mrs Pendlebury.

"Dora! Martin corrected her flatly."her name is Dora. No one calls her Mrs Pendlebury".

" she might preyme to ," presisted Emily." I mean, I hardly know the woman".

" that can be remedied, "resorted Martin levelly. " now, do you want to eat first, or change?"
