One hour later…
Finally, I did it. I rested my head on the table as I wrote the last word of the report.
I checked the time and it was 8.30 pm. There was also a message from Luciano which said that-
"Come to the floor, no. 17 when you are done."
I quickly arranged all the papers and took my purse and laptop. I exited my cabin and found no one there. There was a dreaded silence in the whole office. I walked quietly through the silent office, my heels clicking softly against the polished floor. I glanced around, taking in the empty desks and closed doors as I made my way towards the elevator. The only sound was the hum of the fluorescent lights overhead. As I reached the elevator, I pressed the button and waited patiently, my eyes fixed on the doors. Soon the elevator gate opened and I stepped outside.
Fuck! It's so scary. The corridor was silent and empty.
My footsteps echoed softly against the tiled floor. The walls of the corridor were painted a pale cream color and were adorned with a few framed paintings.
While the air was still and quiet, with only the distant sound of typing coming from nearby offices. As I approached his office room, I took a deep breath and knocked softly.
"Come inside" He ordered and I entered the office. I looked around and scanned the whole office. It was amazing. The office exudes elegance with its polished marble floors, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a stunning view of the city skyline.
Even the walls were adorned with tasteful artwork, and the furniture was made of rich, dark wood. The desk is large and imposing, with a leather chair on which Luciano was sitting.
He leaned on his chair, his hair all messy while his white sleeves of his white were rolled up.

I gulped on the site and he glanced at me. I quickly diverted my eyes to the other side.
"Here is your report." I said showing my laptop with my head high in pride.
"Are you sure?" He asked in confusion.
So what was he thinking that I came here without my work? I thought to myself.
"You can see by yourself." I said and he looked with surprise. Within a few minutes, he checked my report.
"Now, can I go?" I asked, completely exhausted.
"Wait, there are a few mistakes in this report. But overall, it's fine."

"But you can do it at home." He stated and I was relieved after hearing from him.
"I am excusing you, because it's your first day." He added.

"Let's go home. It's time to leave now." He said.
"Fine, you go. I am booking my cab." I replied as I started checking my phone.
"You are coming with me, not in a cab!" He said coldly.
"No way, I am not going with you and after today's day, it's a big no." I snapped.
"It's not safe outside, it's already 9 and I can't leave you alone." He said as his jaw clenched.
"You don't have to worry about me!" I said, pissed.
"I have to, you are my contracted wife after all." He replied as he crossed his arms.
"I already told you, I AM NOT COMING WITH YOU!!"! shouted.
"Don't piss me off, you are coming with me and that's final."
He said, holding my arms tightly, as he towered over me. My eyes widened in shock.
As we stood inches apart, his strong breath hit my lips and sent goosebumps down my spine. His firm chest pressed into my cleavage while our gazes locked.

Luciano was a complete jerk, he kept on finding mistakes in my work.
But finally I did that. I was exhausted and my eyes were all puffy because of incomplete sleep. I hadn't even talked to Millie.
We both were busy with our office work, so we didn't get time to talk with each other. So today, I offered her to come with me in the same car, this way we would have some time to exchange our conversations.
As I reached the car, Millie was already sitting in it, She waved her hand towards me with a big smile on her face.
l opened the door and got in, and she hugged me tightly. I could feel her warmth and excitement.
"Hey! You look so happy today!
What's the reason for your joy?" I asked as I hugged her back.
"Nothing, just yesterday was the best day ever." She said as her eyes sparkled with happiness.
"Really? What happened yesterday? Did you come early from work or did you receive chocolate from your colleagues?" I guessed.
She was really unpredictable, little things made her happy. She giggled and shook her head.
"No, no, nothing like that. It's something else. Something amazing."
She looked at me with a mysterious expression.
"Tell me, what's that?" I asked, looking closing at her.
"Fine, l am telling, You know what? She said curiously.
"What?" I asked confused. "We had a kiss!" She screamed while hiding her face.
"We? Who?" l asked.
"Stupid! Mikasa kissed me." She replied in excitement.
"Really?" I said as my mouth opened wide after hearing her. Well, that was not so surprising as they both were quite close to each other.
