"This is our Royal room," he said in a low voice.
"It used to belong to my mother. It has been closed for many years. You are the first one to enter it since then."
His words made my heart skip a beat. Why did he bring me here? What did he want from me?
"Why did you take me here then?" I asked. "I mean, you could have just given me another room or some guest room."
I knew it was silly to ask, but I was just curious and wanted to know.
"Because you are my Luna now and only you have the right to enter this room," he replied. I was speechless after hearing his words. I felt my cheeks heat up. He noticed my blush and smirked.
"But it doesn't mean that you can do anything or you can rule anyone. You are a fake Luna and not my mate," he said as he came closer to me in less than a second, scaring me.
I gulped and moved back, but he followed me until I was trapped between him and the wall. How could he move so fast? I wondered.
"Why would I try to do so?" I snapped back.
"I am here only to pretend and I have nothing to do with your pack house or with you."
"Better for you only," he said in a cold voice.
He stepped back and looked at me with a piercing gaze.
"Your maids will come soon and you can tell them if you want anything," he said.
I was about to ask him something, but he just vanished.
What type of hybrid was he? He was different from others. He must be a special hybrid, I thought. But I didn't care who he was. I had nothing to do with him.
"Alina, he's got special qualities and skills, but it sucks that he has to hide them from everyone," Sophia said sympathetically.
"Hmm, but isn't he a bit rude?" I asked. "I mean, why does he act so cold with me? I didn't do anything wrong to him. He always looks at me like l'm some kind of enemy."
"Maybe he's just stressed because he has to hide his identity," she said, sounding like she was on his side. "And don't you know how bad it feels when you can't find your mate? He must be in pain living half of his life without a mate and now he has to pretend."
Why did my wolf start supporting him instantly? Never mind. The whole day was so hectic. I wanted to have a bath so badly and rest for now.
I opened the door that was attached to the room. Even the bathrooms in this place looked so expensive. After all, Alpha Luciano was the richest among all the Alphas.
The bathroom was a modern oasis of cleanliness and style.
The sleek white tiles on the walls and floor were complemented by the chrome fixtures of the sink, shower, and toilet. The large mirror above the sink reflected the natural light that streamed in through the window. The glass shower enclosure was spacious and featured a rainfall showerhead that looked inviting.
I opened the wardrobe and saw a lot of dresses hanging inside. They were all beautiful and expensive-looking. I wanted something comfortable to wear for the night. I picked a long red silk gown that caught my eye. It was quite revealing, with a low neckline and a high slit. I didn't care much about how I looked. I would change it early in the morning anyway.
I slipped into the gown and felt the smooth fabric caress my skin. It was soft and light. I walked to the bed and lay down on it. The bed was comfy and soft too. The pillows were fluffy and the sheets were silky. I closed my eyes and tried to relax. I wondered what tomorrow would bring.
Alina's Pov-
I was jolted awake by a knock on the door. I groaned and stretched my arms, feeling the stiffness in my muscles. I rubbed my eyes and squinted at the bright light that streamed through the window.
I got up and smoothed out my clothes, then put on a coat over my dress. I opened the door and saw a girl with blonde hair smiling at me.
"Good morning, Luna!" she greeted me cheerfully.
"Good morning," I replied, forcing a smile. smile.
"Your father is on the phone. He wants to talk to you," she said, her voice dropping slightly.
My heart skipped a beat. I felt a surge of fear and dread. He had found out where I was. I knew what he would say. I was terrified.
"I'll be there in a few minutes," I managed to say.
I closed the door and sat on the bed, clutching my head. He knows I'm here. He knows I married his enemy. Alpha Luciano, the rival of my father's pack. My father would see this as a betrayal, a challenge, a provocation. He would be furious.
"You don't have to be afraid, Alina. He doesn't deserve your respect or your fear. He never cared about you," Sophia said,
"I know, Sophia, but he's still my father. And he's still the alpha of our pack. He has a lot of power and influence. I said, "Well, let him try. Don't let him intimidate you. And don't you dare apologize to him for anything," she said,
I felt a knot in my stomach as I changed my clothes and went downstairs. He was still on phone.
"Hello!" I said in a low voice.
"Alina? Is that you?" My father's voice sounded cold and stern. "Yes, father," I said softly.
"So you have become the Luna of the Blood Moon pack?" He asked, his tone was flat.
I braced myself for his anger, his insults, his curses. He would disown me and cut off all ties with me. He would never forgive me for marrying his enemy. Alpha Luciano, most powerful man in the world.
"Yes, father," I repeated. "I know you are angry with me," I added, hoping to appease him somehow.
"No, no, my daughter, I am not angry with you," he said, surprising me.
He wasn't angry? How was that possible?
"Father? Are you okay?" I asked, confused.
"Of course I am okay. Why would I be angry with you? You have become the Luna of the Blood Moon pack," he said, as if that was a good thing.
I couldn't believe it. How could he be so calm after finding out that I married his rival?
"You have done what I have been planning for years. You are now close to Alpha Luciano," he continued.
What did he mean by that? What was he planning?
"Now listen, Alina. As you are with him, it's your duty to give me all the information. I know he is a hybrid. I want to expose him and destroy him," my father said, his voice dripping with malice.
I gasped. He wanted me to spy on Luciano? To betray him? To ruin him?
"But - what are you -" I tried to protest, but he cut me off.
"I know you will do this, you are my daughter. You are loyal to me and our pack," he said, as if it was obvious.
I felt sick. I didn't want to be part of his ugly plan. Luciano would kill me if he ever found out. And why would I do that to him? He trusted me.
But I couldn't argue with my father right now. There were too many ears around me. The servants could hear everything.I had to play along for now.
"I will call you later!" I said.
Fine Alina! Just think about my words."
I hung up the phone and let out a sigh. I felt drained and conflicted.
"Alina, your father is such a manipulative jerk. How can he use you for his evil plans? How can he ask you to spy on Luciano?" Sophia said, outraged.
"I don't know what he's thinking, but l'm not going to help him. I'm not going to tell him anything about Luciano," I said firmly.
"Good. Did you see how he changed his tune in one day?
After he found out that you married Luciano?" Sophia said.
"Yeah, it's weird. He must have some ulterior motive. I don't trust him at all. I'm not going to contact him again," I said, tying my hair in a bun.
I decided to take a shower and get ready for the day. I picked out a black bodycon dress that hugged my curves and made me feel confident.
I blushed as l imagined Luciano's reaction when he saw me. I shook my head and tried to clear my mind. Why was I thinking about him so much? He hadn't even looked at me with desire or affection. And I hadn't even met Millie. Were was she? Probably sleeping. I thought to myself.
I was fixing my hair when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and saw the same maid who had brought me the phone earlier.
