Midoriya Izuku spun through the air, dodging the mechanical arms of "Kenran No. 1," all while trying to come up with a strategy.
After recharging, "Kenran No. 1" prepared to fire the laser at Midoriya again. But this time, Midoriya used the chance to get close to the robot. Compared to the towering "Kenran No. 1," Midoriya's 1.6-meter frame made him look small and agile, and the robot's arms couldn't catch him.
"How annoying…"
Kenranzaki gritted her teeth. Midoriya's move was skillful; he was hovering right near "Kenran No. 1." If the laser fired, it would likely hit the robot itself, and the cannon was only good for targeting things on the ground.
"Let's see how long you can keep this up! 'Kenran No. 1,' catch him for me!"
Kenranzaki, frustrated, was known as the "Radiant Queen" of the third-year support department. Being toyed with by a first-year student was embarrassing.
Dodging around "Kenran No. 1," Midoriya Izuku managed to avoid the most dangerous laser attacks, but he was getting worn out as the robot's arms kept reaching for him relentlessly.
"This won't work like this…"
Before long, even if he managed to avoid being caught by "Kenran Number One," Midoriya Izuku's armor would soon run out of power. He had to act.
"Kenran-senpai, please stop, or I won't be responsible for any damage that comes next."
"Are you kidding me? My glamorous, beautiful 'Kenran Number One' is already damaged because of you!"
Looking at the small hole on the robot's face, which barely counted as damage, Midoriya could tell Kenranzaki had no intention of stopping. He had no choice but to fight back.
"I guess I have to make a move... rigt now!"
Midoriya's actions changed quickly. He dodged "Kenran Number One's" mechanical arm as it reached for him and shot upward into the air.
Avoiding the mechanical arm aimed at him, Midoriya soared straight up towards the top of "Kenran Number One," and Kenranzaki wouldn't let this opportunity slip by.
"Laser, fire!"
The robot's eyes locked onto Midoriya, and two laser beams shot toward him… only to be deflected.
Well, maybe not "deflected" exactly—another object had blocked the attack for Midoriya. "Kenran Number One's" right mechanical arm had snapped off and fallen to the ground.
"What?!"
Kenranzaki was shocked. Why had her robot's right arm suddenly moved on its own? But then she noticed the steel cable attached to Midoriya Izuku's leg armor.
"So you're using tricks like this!"
Kenranzaki was almost beside herself with anger. Midoriya's move was actually simple: when he shot into the air, he had hooked the steel cable from his leg onto the robot's right arm. Then he powered up his rocket pack and arm boosters to full strength.
At the moment the laser fired, the pulled-up mechanical arm was right behind Midoriya, acting as a shield that absorbed the damage and snapped off.
"Sorry, Kenran-senpai. I'm also a Support Department student, so I know that since your robot's arms can extend, they must be light."
Midoriya knew he couldn't pull a multi-ton robot, but while dodging, he noticed that "Kenran Number One" had only one highly flexible part—the arms, which could stretch. This meant one thing.
"Kenran Number One's" mechanical arms were designed with a lightweight and flexible build, making them easy for his powered armor to pull at full power.
Midoriya's clever calculation not only helped him escape but also damaged "Kenran Number One's" mechanical arm.
"Alright, senpai, let's stop now… I did warn you it could get damaged."
"It's just one mechanical arm! Next time, let's see how you dodge!"
Kenranzaki was clearly fired up after "Kenran Number One" took more damage. She wasn't going to back down, and Midoriya could only sigh in resignation.
"Kenran-senpai, I'm about to use my real finishing move. There's a chance your robot will be completely wrecked, so please consider carefully."
"No need for more words—let's settle this!"
Kenranzaki's response showed that she understood her first-year junior was not easy to deal with, but as a third-year senpai, she had her pride as well. It was her Support Department pride; even if her invention got destroyed in a test fight, it had to fulfill its purpose.
"I understand!"
A performance on stage should always end with a grand finale, and for the Support Department, a test battle should end with explosions and smoke.
Midoriya fired the cable from his leg armor, anchoring it to the base of "Kenran Number One's" tank form. Then, he soared into the air, crossing his arms in front of him.
"What is Midoriya planning to do now?!"
"Midoriya-kun, do you have a way to beat this robot?"
Uraraka Ochako and Takeyama Urei looked on in surprise, while Hatsume Mei laughed and said:
"Just keep your eyes open, you two. This is Midoriya-chan's real secret move!"
It wasn't just these three watching the battle. Bakugo Katsuki, Todoroki Shoto, all of Class A, Aizawa-sensei, the Power Loader teacher, the Big Three of U.A. High School—Mirio, Nejire, and Tamaki—and all the support course students from every grade were all watching Midoriya Izuku intently.
"Transform: Spiral!!"
With Midoriya Izuku's shout, the mechanical armor on his legs began to change. His heels shifted into a drill tip, the lower leg armor expanded and connected to the drill, and the upper leg armor completed the final transformation, forming its ultimate shape.
"A drill?!"
Everyone gasped as Midoriya's leg armor turned into a large drill, just wide enough to shield his body. The steel cable launchers on the sides of his thighs were now positioned on each side of the drill, making it a massive weapon.
"To break through anything, you need a drill!"
Midoriya's lower body was now a giant drill—his leg armor's transformed form and his ultimate secret move!
Using the last of his suit's energy, he engaged the rocket pack at full power, fired up his arm thrusters, and began to spin rapidly in mid-air.
"Spiral Force"
The steel cable launchers on the sides of the drill were connected to Amajiki. The cables connected Midoriya and his target, allowing him to keep his drill's position steady even as it spun quickly.
"Aim"
The cables retracted at full speed, while the rocket pack pushed in the opposite direction, combining all that force and spinning power into one massive impact!
"Spiral Breakthrough!!"
The spinning drill, with its overwhelming impact, became Midoriya's new finishing move—the Spiral Strike!
With this drill form, Midoriya Izuku dropped from above and struck "Kenran No. 1" squarely, drilling straight through it from head to toe. The robot was split in half, and even the tank base was left with a huge hole.
One move, instant destruction!!
The robot's remains fell to the ground, the tank's base sparked, but Midoriya Izuku was nowhere to be seen...
…
Just as everyone started to worry, Midoriya Izuku, still in his mechanical armor, emerged from the base of "Kenran No. 1" and landed steadily on the ground, walking away without looking back.
Behind him, the destroyed robot sparked and exploded into fragments, with flames and black smoke rising—Midoriya looked just like a hero.
"Midoriya-kun!"
"Midoriya!"
"Amazing!!"
Everyone was thrilled, ready to cheer loudly for their hero, but after a few steps, Midoriya suddenly collapsed to the ground. Struggling to take off his helmet, he started feeling sick and began to throw up...
Everyone looked at each other in silence, or rather, they were all holding back laughter…
