Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 The Predestined Future

The one-week hero internship ended. When Midoriya Izuku and Togata Mirio returned to school to say goodbye to Sir Nighteye, for some reason... Sir Nighteye himself came to U.A. High School with Midoriya and Million.

"Sir Nighteye, what is this?"

In the teacher's office, Sir Nighteye found All Might, looking like he had something to say. All Might put down his work and followed Sir Nighteye to the lounge for a private chat.

"About Midoriya Izuku, although I agreed with Mirio's suggestion, I've been thinking a lot..."

"Hey, I won't allow you to do anything extreme!"

"That's not what I mean..."

All Might was slightly angry, but Sir Nighteye waved his hand to show he had no bad intentions and seriously said to All Might:

"I visited the Hero Killer in prison a few days ago to get information about the League of Villains."

"Did you find anything?"

"No, he contacted the League of Villains through Kurogiri's 'Warp Gate' and didn't know their hideout's exact location."

While All Might was thinking, Sir Nighteye continued:

"On the other hand, I'm more interested in the Hero Killer Stain."

"His real name is Chizome Akaguro. He once enrolled in a private hero high school but dropped out later."

"After that, he proposed the idea of 'Hero Return,' criticizing modern professional heroes for lacking pure beliefs and stating that heroes should be like All Might."

"Uh..."

All Might was speechless, feeling somewhat responsible for the Hero Killer Stain's actions, but he could only apologize helplessly.

"In the end, his 'Hero Return' speeches didn't get much response, so he chose another path."

"Akaguro Chizome became Stain, spending ten years self-learning 'killing techniques' and hunting professional heroes, earning the title of Hero Killer."

"He took the wrong path..."

All Might sighed, wondering how someone who could have been a great hero ended up like this.

Nighteye continued to talk about his visit to the prison a couple of days ago:

"And from what I learned, Midoriya Izuku told me that the 'Hero Killer' let him go after using his Quirk to immobilize him. I was a bit curious about that."

"So, when I visited the prison, I asked Stain about it. And this is what the 'Hero Killer' said to me."

"'That kid's name is Midoriya Izuku, right? He's different from the fakes in society today, so I spared him. He's a true hero!'"

"Is that so...?"

Hearing this, All Might felt even more regret for "Akaya Kaiun." If he had taken the right path, he could have been an exceptional hero.

"That's the situation. Even the notorious 'Hero Killer' thinks Midoriya Izuku is a true hero. I shouldn't judge him with bias."

"Are you ready to trust Midoriya now?"

All Might looked pleased, but Nighteye adjusted his glasses and said coldly:

"Not completely. The 'Hero Killer' is a lesson for us. If not watched carefully, he could fall into darkness."

"Don't worry, I'll keep a close eye on Midoriya at school."

"I'll watch over him during hero activities outside of school. If there's any sign of trouble, I'll act immediately."

"Please don't... You must inform me first..."

...

As their conversation was about to end, Nighteye, preparing to leave, turned back and said seriously to All Might:

"I don't want to see that future where Mirio lies in a pool of blood and the heroes are all defeated."

"Even you, All Might, couldn't stop it..."

"If there's any sign of such a terrible outcome, I'll eliminate it in advance."

All Might remained silent. He knew Nighteye's personality, but there was no other choice... Nighteye had to take responsibility for the future he saw.

As Nighteye left and All Might prepared to go to class, no one noticed that their private conversation in the lounge was overheard by a third party...

——————————————————————

In the top room of the tallest building in Kamino Ward, a man with tumors covering his head and mouth listened with interest to the information from his planted spy.

"I thought placing a spy when All Might started teaching at U.A. High School was just a precaution, but it turned out to be quite fruitful."

The man smiled, a rare expression of joy. His name was "All For One," All Might's arch-enemy, or rather, the enemy of "One For All."

The Quirk "One For All," passed down through generations by All Might, originated from this man. Justice was born from evil.

All For One's Quirk was the ability to steal and bestow Quirks. Before All Might's time, this man had Japan in the palm of his hand, a country ravaged by villains.

Years ago, in the final battle between All For One and All Might, All Might smashed this man's head. Near death, All For One used the death of the seventh holder of "One For All" to distract All Might.

While All Might was distracted, All For One severely injured him and escaped, barely clinging to life.

After the battle, both All For One and All Might were left severely injured, barely clinging to life.

Because of this, All For One hated All Might, the number one hero. He had defeated all of All For One's comrades and left him in such a miserable state, like a rat in the sewer.

"Nighteye really saw an interesting future!"

All For One was pleased, feeling happy for the first time in a long while. Ever since he learned that All Might's next successor was Togata Mirio, All For One had been in a bad mood...

From the information he gathered, Togata Mirio was an excellent successor. With "One For All" passed to him, even if All Might retired, a new "Symbol of Peace" would rise.

All For One always wanted to get back at All Might, but figuring out how to do so was a headache.

Killing All Might wouldn't satisfy All For One's hatred. To truly get back at the "Symbol of Peace," the method was clear...

He planned to break the society of pro heroes and destroy the order All Might had established. This was All For One's chosen method.

He chose Shigaraki Tomura as his successor, planning to use him to get back at All Might. He imagined the interesting expression All Might would have.

But when All Might chose Togata Mirio as the ninth successor of "One For All," everything changed...

Togata Mirio was too outstanding, making All For One troubled... His chosen successor couldn't compare to All Might's.

At some point, All For One's goal shifted from revenge to competition with All Might. The fact that Shigaraki Tomura couldn't match Togata Mirio made All For One uncomfortable...

Togata Mirio was like a reflection of All Might: strong, just, passionate... a truly outstanding hero.

In contrast, Shigaraki Tomura seemed like a child who never grew up. All For One had been planning actions to help him grow, but it was far from enough...

As his successor, Shigaraki Tomura couldn't compare to All Might's successor, Togata Mirio. This fact bothered All For One greatly.

Recently, All For One had a sudden thought. After seeing Midoriya Izuku's performance at the sports festival, he wondered... what if he chose a better successor?

But he soon dismissed this idea as too troublesome... Now he could only hope for Shigaraki's growth... Sigh...

At this time, a spy at U.A. High School brought him news. Nighteye had seen a very interesting future. After learning this, All For One made a decision.

"Midoriya Izuku, huh? What an interesting kid!"

"Tomura, it's time for you to play your part."
