Reboot!
Second Resurrection Match.
In the restaurant, the scene of the Avengers slaughtering the villagers left everyone stunned.
Charlie, however, had already found out the location of the temple from the server.
"Let's go to the temple."
Charlie gestured for them to follow. Old Steve instinctively stood up.
"You've got a plan?" he asked.
Charlie nodded. "Blowing up Titan's temple will be far more effective than randomly killing people."
"Where did you get this information?" Infinity Tony caught up with them, curious.
"It's his superpower," Old Steve explained on Charlie's behalf.
Carter and Lizard Parker followed closely behind.
"Superpower?" Carter mused.
Lizard Parker scratched his head. "Same as Spider-Man, but Gwen doesn't seem to have this power."
Old Steve chuckled, "His superpower is pretty amazing; he can even sense—"
"Shut up!"
Charlie cut off Old Steve's nonsense.
As they walked down the street, curious glances were thrown their way.
Charlie pointed to the towering spire in the city center, shining brightly.
"That's the temple. It's probably the most revered place on Titan. Blowing it up will definitely get us into the Exile Journey."
Infinity Tony frowned. "Titan's network didn't have any information on the temple. They must control their data pretty tightly."
"That's not important."
As Charlie spoke, he tossed a few coins to the octopus-faced shopkeeper outside a nearby store.
"Sir, you dropped your coins." The honest shopkeeper quickly picked them up and chased after Charlie, calling out.
Charlie waved without looking back. "It's for you. Thanks for your help last time."
"It was no trouble."
The shopkeeper stood in place for a few seconds, his facial tentacles scratching his head in confusion.
"Do I know him?"
Half an hour later, they arrived at the base of the spire by magnetic levitation taxi.
"This is the temple."
They looked up, and up close, the spire took the shape of a slender pyramid, reaching straight into the pale purple sky. The surface of the tower was dotted with variously sized circular protrusions, each emitting a silvery glow like twinkling stars.
Suspended around the spire were rings made of an unknown material, each housing Titan guards who stood vigilant.
Charlie glanced at the alien tourists from different planets around them.
"It's turned into a tourist attraction," he chuckled.
Infinity Tony leaned closer to Charlie and whispered, "I've counted. There are at least two hundred guards here, each armed with that shock device. We can't get near the temple, let alone blow it up."
Charlie smiled faintly. "Don't worry. Those devices only work within ten meters of us."
Infinity Tony was skeptical. "How do you know that?"
Old Steve explained again, "It's his superpower."
"Is it reliable?" Carter asked, curious.
"Absolutely," Old Steve affirmed. "In the last Resurrection Match, Natasha and I completed the mission easily because of his superpower."
Hearing this, Lizard Parker couldn't help but recall the previous two Resurrection Matches.
This guy hadn't been particularly strong at first, yet he could precisely predict the course of events.
The second time was even more absurd. He managed to avoid missile strikes well in advance.
The further things went, the more powerless Lizard Parker felt when facing Charlie.
Now that he heard Charlie had this superpower, he finally understood everything.
But on closer thought, something didn't add up.
If he had such a superpower, how could he have died so many times?
It seemed there were only two possibilities:
Either this guy was utterly useless,
Or he had terrifying enemies in his world.
For the first time, Lizard Parker took a serious look at Charlie.
This guy had won two Resurrection Matches, and even the other Peter Parker, who was infested by a fearsome creature, couldn't stop him from rescuing Tony from the cave.
Such a person couldn't possibly be useless.
So there was only one possibility left.
Lizard Parker was deep in thought, while Carter was carefully observing the terrain, starting to plan the bombing.
"When do we act?" she asked Charlie.
Charlie shook his head and sat down on a nearby bench.
"We wait."
"Wait for what?"
"Wait for the other participants. Someone will bomb the temple before us."
Everyone was puzzled by his words.
Old Steve instinctively explained, "It's his superpower."
Everyone understood.
"Charlie Parker, I lost last time, but I wasn't convinced," Infinity Tony said with a faint smile as he sat beside Charlie.
"But now, I feel relieved."
Charlie looked at Tony, his expression serious. "You could've won last time."
"I know."
Tony took out a coin and bought a black donut from a passing child.
"At the time, I thought it was just an illusion. If I had taken it seriously, you might not have had a chance."
He took a bite of the donut and immediately spat it out.
"Shit, it has peppers in it." Infinity Tony wiped his mouth, disgusted.
"Black food—it's already telling you something."
Charlie tossed a coin and chose a white donut.
He took a bite and fell silent.
"Judging by your face, it doesn't taste good," Carter pointed to a nearby trash can. "Don't be like Tony."
Charlie swallowed with difficulty.
"It's salty."
"Alright, thanks for testing it out for us." Old Steve pocketed his coin again.
They chatted, and time passed quickly.
Infinity Tony tapped on his virtual computer, showing a scene of Rhodey bombing a prison.
"He's just a Colonel, I swear," Infinity Tony said seriously.
Carter was silent for a moment before speaking. "He's already very impressive. I'm just a Captain."
Lizard Parker's eyes fell on the silent Old Steve.
"And you?"
"He's just a grunt," Charlie answered for him.
Old Steve: "..."
"Actually, I'm also an actor. I have a lot of fans in the military," he explained.
Lizard Parker thought for a moment. "I get it, you're the mascot."
Old Steve: "..."
After their pointless conversation, they soon noticed other participants nearby.
"I've spotted Loki," Infinity Tony said.
Old Steve nodded. "I also saw Thor's girlfriend."
"I know, Jane Foster. They broke up."
"No, the hammer in her hand!"
Infinity Tony stared at the Mjolnir in Jane Foster's hand and stood up.
"The broken hammer has been reassembled," Old Steve said, looking perplexed.
The next moment, Jane Foster raised Mjolnir high. Lightning engulfed her, and in an instant, she was clad in a magnificent suit of armor.
"Lady Thor!" Charlie narrowed his eyes.
