The humans and vampires marched towards Redleaves, the Greenwood vampires would arrive soon but the humans would have to rest on one or two occasions.
Victor, who was riding with Artur, Katerin and Stelle, was not chained. He also found it hard to keep up with the pace of these three, as they did not tire at any time.
More than once he was about to ask Artur to give him a piggyback ride, but he preferred not to act like that in front of the two noble vampires at his side. Needless to say he felt a little nervous, more than once he felt the gaze of several vampires looking at him strangely.
"Uncomfortable?" asked Artur as he walked beside Victor.
"Of course it is" Victor commented, before silence fell over the group again.
Stelle and Katerin's gaze focused on Victor for a few seconds before they continued to stare straight ahead in silence.
