Beth followed Liam. She needed to hear why he thought she would be arrested. "Haven't you been listening? I was with my uncle and his wife the day Veronica had her accident. She's the crazy one. Why would she get on a boat when she's afraid of open water? She ruined all our trips in the past so we had to leave her home."
Beth wanted to thank Veronica for screaming and begging her not to get on a boat after the little incident where Beth pushed her. Those days without Veronica around were the best.
"At this age, why doesn't she know how to swim? Do you have any idea how many times I had to listen to her screaming before my uncle decided to let her stay at home? We couldn't even take her to a pool because she would act a fool," said Beth.
