"Fine," Liam answered.
Veronica sat on the bed only now that he would join her later. "It feels different here. It must be uncomfortable to go from sleeping in your bedroom to the guest room."
"It isn't. Our bedroom is better, but I just need a good place to rest my head. I can get water for you if you need some," Liam offered.
Veronica shook her head. "No thanks. My throat already feels like I have down more water than I can handle. I need to get rid of this feeling. I don't know if I will be able to sleep if this continues. That feeling and knowing someone tried to kill me is just too much for me to process right now."
Sleeping alone wasn't a good option at the moment.
"Everything is confusing but I wouldn't mind if you come back to our bedroom. Just for sleeping," Veronica clarified so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings.
"Are you sure?" Liam asked, wanting her to think it over.
