Dean left the apartment building with his next destination to go back to Evelyn so they could leave. At the moment, everything seemed to be taken care of concerning Veronica so he could leave the city before things got messy for him.
In the car, Dean thought about the call he tried to make to Liam to have him return to the house he shared with Veronica where he unexpectedly heard Veronica's voice.
He choked up, not knowing what to say to her which made her confused as she tried to get an answer out of the caller. Dean hung up before he could say hello.
He came with one plan in mind which was to help her and get out of the city. To reveal who he was would only keep him here too long and make things dangerous for Veronica.
