"Why do you get to constantly stare at your phone but the second I pick up my phone you get annoyed?" Adeline asked, trying to figure out how this was fair.
"Because you are on your phone checking to see what your father is up to or if he has decided to use you while I am speaking to our son. Liam is finally reaching out to me so I have to respond. See," Nathan said, happily showing a text with Liam's name.
It was all about what Adeline was doing but it was still a conversation that Liam started so Nathan had to take it. They had to start from here and try to talk about other things down the line.
Adeline grew suspicious of what the two had to talk about and why Nathan was only telling her about it now. "Let me see," she held out her hand for Nathan's phone.
"No," Nathan denied her. "This is a conversation between father and son. Why don't you reach out to him? Oh, does he still have you blocked?"
