"Who is she?"

Everyone was initially surprised that the person who blocked Momousagi's sword energy was a woman. Following that surprise came intense curiosity about the young woman's identity.

Powerful women existed in this vast ocean, but they were few and far between. Empress Hancock, for example, might not have rivaled the strength of a Marine Admiral, but her fame was undeniable. The young woman before them had just demonstrated comparable power.

She possessed the strength to make a significant impact on this battlefield. A woman with this power shouldn't be an unknown entity in this world.

Yet, no one recognized her. This mysterious newcomer wasĀ Yamato, Kaido's child.

Yamato stood calmly amidst the chaos, her long, shimmering silver hair dancing in the wind, an ethereal figure seemingly untouched by the carnage surrounding her.

"Heyā€¦ who are you?"

Yamato's sudden appearance and confrontation with Momousagi, a significant boost to Whitebeard's forces, drew the attention of everyone present.

"Kaido's son - Yamato" she declared, her voice clear and resonant, carrying across the battlefield.

She and Momousagi locked eyes, neither yielding. Their gazes, sharp, held a hint of mutual respect.

This girlā€¦ was strong.

"Seriously, another powerhouse appears out of nowhereā€¦ Whitebeard Piratesā€¦ and she claims to be Kaido'sĀ son? Isn't she a woman?" Kizaru grumbled, observing the situation with displeasure.

They had thoroughly researched the Whitebeard Pirates before this war, and there was no record of such a powerful young woman among their ranks.

"Kaido's sonā€¦ Why are all these children of Criminals showing up one after another?" The Marine officers on the execution platform murmured nervously, wondering if they had inadvertently stumbled into a nest of Yonko offspring.

Both Whitebeard and Big Mom had children, but Whitebeard treated his crew like family. Anyone who harmed them would face his wrath. Big Mom, on the other hand, treated her children as tools, readily discarding them. They wouldn't come to her rescue.

Now, even Kaido had a child. Considering the similar fighting style and the telltale horns on her head, a symbol of their lineage, there was no doubt. Besides, the title of "Kaido's son" held no weight anymore, as their entire Yonko crew had been wiped out byĀ that Devil.

Clang!

The sharp ring of steel echoed across the battlefield as Yamato's spiked club clashed with Momousagi's katana.

Their figures blurred, moving with incredible speed as they traded blows. The shockwaves from their attacks rippled through the air, carving deep furrows in the ice.

Green sword Energy and black lightning intertwined like dancing dragons, the ice beneath them splitting under the force of their attacks. The fissures, deep and jagged, cut through the frozen surface. This was a clash between a swordsman's precision and a warrior's raw power, a battle of finesse against brute force.

No one intervened in their duel. Ordinary combatants lacked the power to interfere, while the stronger figures present chose to remain on the sidelines.

Yamato's attacks were pure destruction, her Armament HakiĀ nearing the peak of mastery. Her physical strength, enhanced by her mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, was immense.

Her transformation into the legendary Oguchi-no-Makami, a Wolf Goddess capable of breathing freezing air.

"See that, Marines?! That's the power of Kaido's son! That guy might be a pain, but his bloodline is undeniably strong!" The Whitebeard Pirates roared their approval, their spirits lifted by Yamato's display of power. Marco, battling Kizaru in the sky, watched with a look of pride, their shared history a mystery to the onlookers.

Meanwhileā€¦

Akainu, his face grim, observed Yamato holding her own against Momousagi. He then shifted his gaze to Whitebeard in the distance. His body radiated intense heat as rivers of magma flowed from his limbs. He launched another devastating attack towards the Whitebeard Pirates.

"Ryusei Kazan!" (Meteor Volcano)

Akainu's attack, wide-ranging and indiscriminate, targeted the entire Whitebeard crew, plunging the bay into chaos. He charged into the fray, his arm transformed into a massive magma fist.

"Akainu's coming!"

Fear gripped the Whitebeard Pirates as they watched the Admiral approach. Akainu, known for his ruthlessness and destructive power, had crushed countless pirate crews in the New World, earning him a reputation that instilled terror in the hearts of many.

As Akainu rampaged through the battlefield, a figure charged from the side, slamming into the Admiral, sending him flying through the air.

"Third Division Commanderā€¦ Jozu!"

The Marine officers watched in shock as their Admiral was sent sprawling, their gazes fixed on the figure who had challenged him.

Jozu, the Diamond Man, his body composed entirely of diamond, possessed unparalleled defensive capabilities. Even Akainu's magma couldn't harm him.

"Jozuā€¦ Get out of my way!"

Akainu, unharmed but enraged, emerged from the swirling magma, his fist slamming into Jozu, the two locked in a fierce exchange of blows.Ā

While Jozu might not have surpassed Akainu in raw power, his impenetrable defense allowed him to withstand the Admiral's attacks, effectively stalling his advance.

āāāā

Elsewhere on the battlefieldā€¦

Kizaru reappeared in a flash of golden light, seemingly unscathed. He glanced at Marco in the sky, a smirk playing on his lips. "It seems you're not so easily defeated. Trying to take me down directly, are you?"

"Heh."

Marco glared down at Kizaru, who then turned to the Marine giants. "Giant Unit, keep an eye on the skies as well."

"Roger!" The giant Vice Admirals roared in response. Towering over the battlefield, their every step sent tremors through the ground.

Suddenly, Jozu was sent flying through the air, crashing into the ice. While magma couldn't melt his diamond form, the impact was still considerable.

As Akainu moved to press his advantage, a fist of water slammed into his side.

"Karakusagawara Seiken (3000 Tile True Punch!)" Jinbe's surprise attack momentarily halted Akainu's advance.

Jozu, back on his feet, glanced at Akainu, then at the approaching Marine giants, a grim expression on his face.

The situation looked dire. The Whitebeard Pirates were on the defensive, their chances of reaching Ace seemingly diminishing by the moment. Could they possibly break through the combined might of Fujitora, Aokiji, Kizaru, Akainu, and the Seven Warlords, let alone reach the execution platform?

Butā€¦

The battle was far from over.

Suddenly, Garp, Sengoku, and Tsuru, observing the battle from their vantage point, looked up, their eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"Are they here?"

Almost as soon as the thought crossed their minds, a new force erupted onto the battlefield, cutting a swathe through the chaos, bypassing the Whitebeard Pirates and heading straight for the execution platform.

They were not pirates, nor were they affiliated with the Whitebeard Pirates.

They were the Revolutionary Army. Sabo, Chief of Staff, led a small squad of revolutionaries onto the battlefield, shifting the tide of the war.

"Those bratsā€¦ are they the Revolutionary Army?"

Whitebeard, watching from the deck of the Moby Dick, turned towards the newcomers, a look of curiosity on his face. Marco, equally puzzled, commented, "That one seems to be the Revolutionary Army's second-in-command. Why is he here? His objective seems to be rescuing Ace as well. Perhaps he's a friend?"

"A friend of Ace's, huh? Gurararaā€¦ Not bad." Whitebeard chuckled, approving of anyone who's fighting the World Government for Ace's sake. But right now, rescuing Ace was the only thing that mattered. Words were unnecessary.

On this battlefield, there were only two sides: those who sought to save Ace, and those who stood in their way.

The arrival of Sabo and the Revolutionary Army threw the battle into further disarray. The Marines were shaken, and even Sengoku's face darkened with concern.

"The Revolutionary Army too? Why?"

Beside Sengoku, Ace and Garp stared in disbelief, their eyes fixed on the approaching Sabo.

"Impossibleā€¦ It can't beā€¦ Youā€¦"

Sabo met Ace's gaze across the battlefield, offering a warm smile. Words were unnecessary. His presence spoke volumes.

Ace, I'm here to save you.

"Revolutionary Armyā€¦"

Fujitora, who had been preparing to engage the Whitebeard Pirates, frowned and teleported to intercept Sabo's squad, his shikomizue blocking their path.

Sabo, having studied the Marines' intelligence reports, recognized Fujitora. "Warlord, Fujitora Isshoā€¦"

"Are you aware of your position?" Fujitora asked, his voice deep and resonant. "Aiding pirates in their assault on Marine Headquarters? Is this the work of the Revolutionary Army?"

"I'm afraid this has nothing to do with the Revolutionary Army. I'm just here to save someone." Sabo brandished his pipe, his gaze serious. "Would you mind stepping aside?"

"I cannot."

Fujitora's face serious. Without further words, he engaged Sabo in combat.

Sabo, while not quite on Fujitora's level, possessed near-Admiral strength, enough to hold his own against the Warlord, at least for a time.

"Dragon Claw Fist!"

"Gravity Blade: Fierce Tiger!"

Boom! Boom!

Their attacks clashed, the battlefield echoing with the sounds of a roaring dragon and a ferocious tiger.

"I believe you're alone now?"

Mihawk, seeing Jozu occupied, turned back to Whitebeard and unleashed another Green slash, his Yoru, whistling through the air.

But once again, his attack was intercepted. The slash, though powerful enough to carve through the ice and send a cloud of snow swirling into the air, dissipated upon impact. Two figures emerged from the dissipating mist...

āāāā

One old, One young.

"That'sā€¦ Rayleigh? What's he doing here? Is it for his former captain's bloodline? And that's the Supernova, Straw Hat Luffy!"

"Could it be that Shanks is alsoā€¦"

The Marines watched the newcomers with apprehension. If Shanks joined the fray, the Marines would face two Yonko simultaneously, and Marineford would be more than just a battleground. It would become a graveyard.

Shanks had saved the battered Whitebeard Pirates in the original timeline, recognizing the strategic implications of two Emperors clashing.Ā It wasn't about some mythical "Face Fruit." It was about maintaining the balance of power.

"Luffy?"

"Luffy!!!!!"

Both Ace, bound to the execution platform, and Garp cried out in unison. Garp's eyes widened in disbelief.

Rayleigh and Luffy, initially disoriented, quickly found their bearings. Luffy's gaze locked onto Ace on the execution platform, his eyes filled with determination.

"Ace!"

Ignoring the stunned onlookers, Luffy focused solely on his brother, unaware of another figure watching him intently. They were brothers too.

"You've certainly gone through a lot, raising your sworn enemy Roger's son as your own grandsonā€¦ I can't judge whether it's right or wrong, but I will give you a proper ending." Away from the chaos of the battlefield, Ian closed his eyes, pondering the question of inherited guilt.

It was a complex issue with no easy answers. In this world, many believed that bloodline determined destiny. Ace was born into sin.

Like Luffy, Ace was impulsive. Ian had tried to temper Ace's recklessness, but to no avail. While he too acted on instinct, it was because he disdained careful planning, preferring to charge ahead and let his fists do the talking.

The two were fundamentally different.

Despite their efforts, the Whitebeard Pirates remained on the defensive. Marco, Jozu, and Sabo could hold their own against Kizaru, Akainu, and Fujitora, but their defeat was inevitable.

Aokiji, Kuma, Hancock, and the other Warlords had yet to join the fray. Mihawk was occupied with Rayleigh, and Whitebeard faced off against Garp and Sengoku!

Ian raised his head slowly. Sunlight bathed his pale face, and his dark green eyes, devoid of emotion.

Before him loomed the towering Red Line, its summit shrouded in clouds. This imposing natural barrier that split the world in two also housed the TenryÅ«bitoā€”the True Culprits of eight centuries of crime and oppression.

The World Government.
