Onigashima
A foreboding island within Wano's inland sea, stood facing the Flower Capital. Since ancient times, Onigashima had been a cursed land, its towering skull a grim symbol of hell.
For centuries, it served as a place of exile for Wano's most heinous criminals. That was until the Beasts Pirates, led by Kaido, claimed it as their base of operations over two decades ago. Now, the island had become one of the most dangerous places in the world, a den of pirates and monsters.
"Report!"
"King-sama! The samurai ships are approaching from the southeast!" a terrified Gifter, user of the Artificial Zoan Smile - White Pigeon Fruit. shrieked.
"Open fire! Sink them!" King, ordered coldly. Kaido and Charlotte Linlin sat upon their thrones, overlooking the assembled Tobiroppo and Headliners.
As the second-in-command of their respective crews, they were responsible for planning and tactics. With Kaido being a battle-crazed brute and Big Mom prone to impulsive outbursts, the burden of strategic thinking fell upon their shoulders.
"That devil… He's in Wano too!"
Katakuri, his eel-like mouth hidden beneath a scarf, radiated a menacing aura.
"A bunch of has-beens. And Whitebeard vanished after entering Wano. We just need to eliminate that devil before he shows up."
"He's confident, isn't he? Thinks he can take on two Emperors. He'll pay for destroying Totto Land and our Sweet Commanders!"
King, Katakuri, and even the two Emperors on their thrones seethed with murderous intent.
...
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The coast of Onigashima erupted in a cacophony of explosions.
Countless cannonballs arced through the twilight sky, a torrential downpour of iron and fire, targeting the approaching samurai fleet.
If they landed, this single barrage would obliterate them. Just as Kin'emon and the other samurai braced for impact, a figure clad in white, standing at the bow of the lead ship, his cloak billowing in the wind like a phantom, made his move.
With a flick of his wrist, the sky above crackled with golden lightning. A massive net of electrical energy materialized, intercepting the incoming cannon fire.
The projectiles detonated harmlessly mid-air, erupting in a shower of sparks. Ian clenched his right fist, and the sky roared with thunder.
A colossal bolt of golden lightning descended from the sky, striking the coast of Onigashima with devastating force. In an instant, the Beasts Pirates' defenses were reduced to smoldering ruins.
"Wooohoooo!"
The samurai, witnessing this display of power, erupted in cheers.
"Ian-sama! Amazing!" Hiyori clapped her hands, her eyes sparkling with admiration.
Three minutes later, the Wano fleet landed on the southeastern coast of Onigashima. Kin'emon, Raizo, and even the traitor Kanjuro were still trapped in the time-rift.
Kiku and Ashura Doji had arrived at the last minute, while Nekomamushi, Inuarashi, and Izo were with Whitebeard. Only two of the Nine Red Scabbards were present.
Facing them was King, the Beasts Pirates' second-in-command, along with the Tobiroppo and an army of nearly ten thousand. The Beasts Pirates held a significant numerical advantage.
However, the samurai were undeterred. Ian's presence alone was enough to bolster their morale, his power equivalent to a thousand warriors.
"Men! The war has begun!"
The Headliners of the Beasts Pirates roared, leading the charge towards the samurai. The two forces clashed, their weapons meeting in a shower of sparks.
Twenty years of pent-up hatred and resentment fueled the battle, a maelstrom of blood and steel. Ian's gaze locked onto King, the fiery All-Star.
"Were you the one who defeated Kaido-san?"
King's cold eyes narrowed, his voice laced with venom. He let out a furious roar.
He drew his sword, his Pteranodon wings unfolding, and launched himself towards Ian, engulfed in flames. Ian's demonic face remained impassive, his voice cold and indifferent.
"If this were when I first arrived in this world, I might have feared you. But now… I could crush you and Kaido with my finger."
Without hesitation, Ian extended his fingertip, crackling with black lightning, radiating an aura of pure destructive power. He unleashed a Cero Oscuras.
BOOM!
The thick clouds that perpetually shrouded Onigashima were pierced by a blinding beam of black energy, carving a massive hole in the sky.
A ray of sunlight streamed through the opening, illuminating the battlefield. King, the Beasts Pirates' last remaining All-Star, fell from the sky, defeated.
"Excellent!" Denjiro nodded approvingly.
"Denjiro, was that the legendary Black Winged Devil you mentioned? Where did you find such a powerful ally?" Kawamatsu murmured in awe. From his cell in the Udon Prisoner Mines, he had witnessed the full extent of Ian's power. He was utterly convinced that Ian was the key to defeating Kaido and the Beasts Pirates.
Even King, the formidable All-Star, had been no match for him.
Ian lowered his hand, his gaze sweeping across the chaotic battlefield. The battle between the samurai and the Beasts Pirates raged on, the southeastern coast awash in blood. In less than ten minutes, nearly a thousand had fallen, mostly Beasts Pirates.
Despite the heavy losses, the Beasts Pirates still held a numerical advantage.
However, the tide of the battle had turned. With King's defeat, the morale of the Beasts Pirates plummeted. More than half surrendered, but the samurai refused to accept their pleas for mercy.
They had no need for traitors. The pirates had chosen their path, and now they would face the consequences.
Each of the Nine Red Scabbards possessed strength rivaling that of the Tobiroppo. While not all of them were present, the four who had arrived, along with Kin'emon, were more than capable of holding their own, especially fueled by their burning desire for revenge. They were pushing back against the Tobiroppo, their fury giving them the edge.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A new wave of cannon fire erupted, not from the southeastern coast, but from the opposite side of Onigashima.
"Ian-sama, that's…" Hiyori's face lit up with excitement as she recognized the source of the attack. "It seems they've arrived."
Ian nodded. The earth trembled violently, accompanied by a series of cracking sounds. The sky above the opposite side of Onigashima shattered like a mirror, crisscrossed with white fissures.
The very sea seemed to split apart under the immense pressure, forming massive waves that threatened to engulf Onigashima. The only power capable of This devastation was the legendary… Paramecia-type Gura Gura no Mi, the Quake-Quake Fruit.
The power of the legendary pirate, the World's Strongest Man… Edward Newgate, Whitebeard.
"Gurararara! Men! Let the war begin!" Whitebeard's booming laughter echoed across the island. "Charge!!!"
"Run!"
"Whitebeard! Whitebeard is here!"
"We can't win! We're doomed!"
"Even with Kaido-san and the Big Mom Pirates, we can't win! How did they appear so suddenly?!"
The Beasts Pirates' cries of despair filled the air. On a massive whale-shaped ship, a lone figure stood, her cloak billowing in the wind. It was Tashigi.
Thanks to her Devil Fruit, the Suke Suke no Mi, which granted her invisibility, she had concealed the whale ship and even masked Whitebeard's presence, leading Kaido to believe they had retreated.
This deception had lured Kaido into a trap, leaving him stranded on Onigashima to face Ian. If he had known about their alliance, he would have fled.
With the arrival of the Whitebeard Pirates, even the most die-hard members of the Beasts Pirates lost their will to fight. The battle ended sooner than anticipated.
Five minutes later, Ian and Whitebeard met in the main hall of Onigashima's central castle.
"Gurararara! You're quite the impressive young man!" Whitebeard boomed, his laughter echoing through the hall.
"Pops!!!"
A sudden, high-pitched voice interrupted Whitebeard's laughter, causing his jovial expression to falter.
"You're… Hiyori?" He looked at the beautiful young woman in a kimono who had rushed towards him, her face alight with excitement. It took him only a fraction of a second to recognize her. Marco had briefed him on the situation in Wano, including the presence of the young princess, Hiyori.
"It's me, Pops! It's been so long!" Hiyori beamed.
"Gurararara! My little Hiyori has all grown up!" Whitebeard chuckled, unfazed by her familiar address. The nickname that had once annoyed him now filled him with warmth and affection.
"Hiyori-chan, do you remember me? It's Jozu!" Jozu, Vista, and the other Whitebeard commanders greeted her warmly, their voices filled with joy. Hiyori responded politely.
"And me! It's Vista! You look just like your mother, Toki! There's no mistaking you for Oden and Toki's daughter!"
"Hiyori-sama!" Izo, the sixteenth division commander, approached her, his face etched with emotion, and knelt before her. "I apologize for my late arrival."
"Izo?"
"Please, rise."
Hiyori's eyes widened in recognition, and she helped him to his feet.
"Izo, you finally came back! Welcome home!" Denjiro, Kawamatsu, Ashura Doji, and the others greeted him with a mixture of laughter and relief.
"Everyone…" Izo's eyes welled up with tears. He noticed a familiar figure standing behind Hiyori.
"Kiku, you've become a fine warrior." He approached his younger sibling, his voice filled with pride. Tears streamed down Kiku's face.
"Brother…" They embraced.
"Haha! It's so good to have you back, Izo!" Marco clapped him on the shoulder.
"Hiyori-sama! Everyone!"
Two massive figures emerged from the whale ship, joining the reunited Scabbards.
"Nekomamushi! Inuarashi! You've grown so much!" The others exclaimed joyfully.
"Now, we're only missing Kin'emon, Raizo, and Kanjuro… But Toki-sama's prophecy… The Beasts Pirates are already defeated, and it's not even time yet."
A sense of unease settled upon them. Toki's prophecy had foretold a great battle two years in the future. But they quickly dismissed their concerns. A prophecy was just a prophecy.
Otherwise, Orochi wouldn't have allied with Kaido to usurp Wano.
It wasn't a perfect prediction of the future, so there was no need to dwell on it. With two Emperors stronger than Kaido and Big Mom present, the Beasts Pirates had no chance of survival.
The battle had been a strategic blunder from the start. King and Katakuri, along with the Tobiroppo and the Sweet Commanders, had faced Ian and Whitebeard separately, while Kaido and Big Mom remained in reserve.
They had overestimated their strength, believing they could handle the two Emperors individually. If they had combined their forces, while the outcome would have remained the same, their losses would have been significantly less. Perhaps Ian had anticipated this, sending Tashigi to assist Whitebeard and create the illusion of their absence.
By dividing their forces, he had ensured the complete annihilation of both the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates, while minimizing casualties on his own side.
"Such a heartwarming reunion. It's a shame that our Beasts Pirates and Big Mom Pirates have been decimated." A sudden voice cut through the air, silencing the celebrations.
Ian and Whitebeard turned towards the northeastern sky, sensing a menacing presence. Jozu and the other commanders exchanged uneasy glances. Whitebeard let out a booming laugh.
"Kaido! Linlin! Show yourselves! It's a rare occasion for the remnants of the Rocks Pirates to gather like this. Too bad that Rocks went and messed with the wrong person."
Back when the Rocks Pirates ruled the seas, Whitebeard and Shiki had been Rocks D. Xebec's right and left hands, while Kaido and Big Mom were slightly weaker. John was even further down the hierarchy.
RUMBLE!
A thunderous roar echoed from the northeastern sky, and dark clouds, like an encroaching night, spread across the horizon, swallowing the remaining daylight. Lightning flashed, and thunder boomed, accompanied by two boisterous, bloodthirsty laughs.
"Mamamama!"
"Worororo!"
