Then Luca gave Tsumugi the tour of the village, showing her where everything was. After that was done, he brought her to the dungeon. They went down together, and Luca brought Tsumugi to the spot he had found earlier. They entered through the portal, where the skeleton of a giant spider lay. The air around them was thick with the residue of ancient battles.
Tsumugi asked in a low tone, "What is this place?"
Luca replied, "I do not know. This was almost a year ago. I wandered here, and somehow, as weak as I was, I took down this creature, but I don't recall everything."
Deep fissures in the ground, huge clumps of stone torn from the walls, and bones of other creatures-the remains of that fight-strewn everywhere. It was a frozen scene, holding chaotic energies of the fight that should have brought Luca's life to an end.
"Maybe you took Symbiote form?" Tsumugi suggested, her eyes still wide as she took in the enormity of the skeleton in front of her.
