Rachel stood on a vast band of black capped by a yellow sky and a blue abyss. Rainbow light burst forth from her and pierced the black band. It sunk into the black like heavy spikes in soft sand.
The light disappeared into the black as if it were a void or an abyss itself. More rainbow light rained down and sunk into the black. Rachel continued this process for an extremely long time. And the black expanse consumed it all like a gluttonous fiend.
Rainbow sweat streaked her face but she felt refreshed and energized.
She sent out another round of rainbow light and as it sunk into the blackness she heard a quiet sound. The sound was so quiet that she almost missed it. The sound became louder and louder and was like a squelching, like two wet, gelatinous pieces were sliding against each other struggling to separate.
